In fact Rockstar can learn a thing or two from Sleeping Dogs, in terms of character development. Wei Shen isn't holier than thou and he is still realistically complex. Then from Friday-Sunday I'm going to hit the forums mixed with some GTA:SA, GTA IV, Black Ops II, Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas. Rinse and repeat for 18 weeks lol. losSantosGang Posted May 18, 2013 Share Posted May 18, 2013 first im going to finish this school year, (almost over thank God), mean while probably a bit studying for school and replay games such as, gta iv + episodes, red dead redemption, bioshock infinte, far cry 3, skyrim and SA. and going to work ofcourse ( to earn money for Saints row IV, Gta V, AC Black Flag, ps4/xbox infinity) getting a sumerjob for 2 weeks and earn lots of money, then going back to school ( september first) and then only 16 days left until i lock myself up in my room and dont come out for another 2/3 years.. While i really DID enjoy Sleeping Dogs a great deal, the story, the variety in missions, the graphics, the fighting system and atmosphere....i didn't find the characters incredibly special. Wei was cool, but has NOTHING on a Niko if you ask me. With all these sandbox games i can't help but feel that it lacks the Rockstar touch. In GTA IV i can simply just walk through the whole city and just observe and have a great time...but i didn't feel the need for this at all in Sleeping Dogs. I guess this is subjective about the characters though, i wasn't particularly moved or very interested in the characters in SD, while plenty of times i really enjoyed characters in GTA IV and genuinely laughed about them too.
