EvilFuture Posted May 12, 2013 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Alright, so as I was making the trailers without music for Trevors trailer ( if you want to watch it) I noticed something really strange while playing the trailer frame by frame. Right before an explosion happens, there's this weird little flash of light that comes out of nowhere and it's only noticeable if you play it frame by frame or watch in in slow motion. What's even weirder is how it just sort of floats around in the middle of the explosion and then randomly disappears. If you have time go watch it frame by frame and you will see what I'm talking about better. Here is some pictures of it: So, what do you guys think it is? If the flash always happens right before an explosion, isn't it simple enough to conclude that it's part of the new explosion effect? No, guess it's aliens after all. Of course if you see it in slow motion you'll notice it, it's something similar in IV, to the point you even see squares around the texture explosion. It won't be noticeable in gameplay. The explosion starts from a shader, and then expands into various others. No you're right, there are two extra front left doors on the impact, Maybe they wanted more stuff flying around so tweaked it for the trailer to spawn more debris, but still it's very strange.
