This topic is for those of you in the market of buying new items for your 'game pad' or game room, whatever you want to call it.

There's not long to go now until GTA V release day so now is the time to start thinking about your current gaming setup. Are you happy with it? Ok then stop reading. Want to buy some new accessories to make GTA V the most comfortable experience ever? Then read on.

Now I realise we aren't all dripping with cash and not all of us have thousands of dollars to spend, so I've put the items into 3 categories

* CHEAPEST PRICE OPTION

For those who don't want to spend much

* MID RANGE PRICE OPTION

You have a good income and could buy some new accessories

* HIGH END PRICE OPTION

For those who have a small fortune and want only the best of the best

This way you can browse through at your leisure to decide what is within your price range.

Let's start off with seating.

Cheap Option - Lying on your bed is not quite the most comfortable experience when gaming as you will end up with a sore neck from looking up at the screen. Same will apply if your game chair is a milk crate that will end up making your bum sore as an altar boy. But hey, milk crates and beds are free. Cost $0.

Mid Range Option - So you have a bit of cash to spend on seating. You want your bum to be comfortable as you spend quite a few hours gaming. Your lower price option at $45 will get you a chair with no arm rests and minimal cushioning. For a much more pleasant experience, buy a chair with back support, lots of cushioning and arm rests $220.

Price Range $45 - $220

High Range Option - A ex F18 fighter jet seat with bolstered supports and even comes with a cup holder. The ultimate in gaming seats, this will set you back a sweet $1800.

TABLE

Low Price Option - You could just go down to your local cash and carry and pick up a bargain used table, put up with the scratched table surface. $20.

Mid Range Option - Glass table top with drawers for your games, controllers etc and a cable tidy at the back. From IKEA $119.

Or how about a double tier table so you have a pad for your screen and more room for your console below. Finished in imitation maple. $135.

Price Range $119 to $135

High Range Option - Mahogany wood lacquered finish 6x4. Large enough for an entire bank of consoles and Pcs. $5000.

SPEAKERS

Low Price Option - $12 USB speakers by Logitech. Just plug n play via tv port.

Mid Range Option - Logitech Bass Speakers with sub woofer - $90. Or how about Sony Xplod surround speakers with Amp - $500.

High Range Option - Bosé Tall Boy surround sound via Pro Comp amp will be a cool $8000.

TV

Cheap Option - You might be given or find an old tv without HDMI but that's ok, you're ok with it. Cost is $0. Or you might be lucky to find an old tv with a HDMI port at cash and carry for $100.

Mid Range Option - For those of us who want to spend a bit more, there's 22 Inch Samsung HDMI $200 second hand. Or how about a 32in Sony HD flat screen LED/LCD - $480.

High Range Option - 90 Inch Sony Bravia Flatron HD LED. The best experience imaginable - $14,000.

So there you have it, just to give you a thought of how you will enjoy GTA V -

In pain? Or in comfort?

Mr. Scratch

JBL's are way better than Bose,and playing on a 90 inch TV is going to stretch your game image to sh*t.

I have already everything I need to play it. So there is no need for something new.

I will probably buy Turtle Beach or Sennheiser headphones in summer for gaming. I love that I can hear everything that's happening around me ,I have Sony headphones atm ,but I just want something newer and better.

I have Fellowes headphones they were 2nd hand from a friend but they are fantastic, sound is spot on and even a mic for voice recording. No idea how expensive they were brand new but I'd say around the $200 AUD

I'll probably need to buy a new Xbox360 controller, as my current one has been through quite a few tantrums thanks to fighter games. But other than that, I'm good.

I agree if you have to get to the point of taking your controller apart in an attempt to fix it, then it's just about time to get a new one. There would be nothing more frustrating than to have a controller kick the bucket just as you start playing GTA V.

Kill Frenzy!

I may be need a new 360, my brother bought his 360 the same day when I bought it, talking about six years ago and his 360 is already stuck of oldness, my 360 doesn't read the discs usually, so I sometimes have to put on and off so many times that in the end he read the disc, very annoying but anyways I won't buy an other if it will stuck completely.

I don't need advice on how to furnish my room from some guy on a forum, certainly not when my room is already set up for what I want it to do and has been for a few years now.

Machine Head

Why the f*ck would anyone want to spend 14k on a 90" TV which, up close, would look as pixelated as a 400x200px video on a 19" 720p monitor? What a f*cking waste.

I got my 50inch 3d full hd 1080 blar blar with 2.1 speakers (w. sub) ... MIGHT buy a 5.1 / 7.1 surround sound kit but my 2.1's are pretty funky ... all I need is drink in the form of coke, tea, coffee, maybe a few beers or some brandy or vodka and then snacks, peanuts, fruit chews, chocolate, crisps etc etc. Not all of it at once ofc put i'll pick and choose you know, mix n match. Apart from this stuff... I'll draw the curtains and turn the volume up, phone on silent, if you need me I'll be in Los Santos biggrin.gif

Cheap everything, mid range TV. Why waste money on things that you want even care about? You will tune out of this world and into the amazing world of video games. It only makes sense to waste money on a good TV and an HDMI cable.

Tip: Buy any HDMI cable. It does not make a difference if it is 5$ or 150$. It will still give the same picture or one that is 99.9999999% the same that only when closely examined pixel by pixel will it show anything better.
