Romakasi
I just figured it out. There were some topics regarding a possibility of some protagonist's death on some point of the storyline. I think it's impossible, because it won't simply work. Look. After you've completed all story missions there is still a lot of stuff to do as we all knew from recent previews. Imagine Michael, Trevor or Franklin was killed/died during the story so how it will affect the free-roam gameplay? Can we lose our best pilot, or driver? Each character has unique skills and activities, that would be stupid if we're not be able to play tennis because of Franklin's death or something. The whole concept of three playable characters instantly collapses. That's why I think it won't happen.
guden
Agreed. Impossibility to use some features or play some mini-games after storyline sucks. I hated how you couldn't enter the Lost MC clubhouse after TLAD was completed. Though it was a nice plot twist.
Kiffster
I agree! I don't think any of 3 protags should (or will) die. It would be stupid! Don't think it'll happen!
Just To Clarify
Agree. Noone should die. Also I'd like to get some mini missions from Michaels family members once the main story is finished, like driving Jimmy to University or getting Tracey safely home after she stripped in a strip club LOL I loved the last part from Red Dead Redemptions story, if you guys know what I mean - just when you thought everything is over, there was sth unique coming. DWTDevil
Not trying to be funny but: (Spoiler alert) One of them is the antagonist. How are they supposed to carry on normally knowing that one of them is the antagonist? In GTA, in most cases... the antagonist loses his/her life. So there's a slight chance of death. zainzombie
I am TOTALLY against the idea of killing protagonist and I hated it in RDR. It will definitely ruin the game for me just like it ruined RDR for me. That being said, If Rockstar wants to/plans to kill one of them the special skill and their character slot will just carry over to some other character, like if Michael dies, Jimmy takes his place with bullet time skill. If Franklin dies then Lamar takes his place and a player can use Franklin's special skill with Lamar and if Trevor dies...... someone else takes his place and skill. Like how John's son could do dead eye after John Marston died

It was a great story, but I still hated that part for what they've done.

LotusRIP
You didn't make it sound impossible, you just expressed an opinion that you don't want it to happen. Should have just posted in another existing thread on the matter. End of topic.

LittleBlueTroll
I think the emotional point in this game will be Chomp dying. Mark my words.
Excolis
I also hope that R* doesn't make the same mistake like in (SPOILER ALERT!!->)L.A. Noire and Read Dead Redemption. This games were awesome, but their ends ruined the whole game experience for me. But I don't think that R* is going to do something like that in a GTA, it was never so before, that a protag died in his own game.
zainzombie
1st time it really made an impact on me when I played RDR, then when I played LA Noire I didnt feel the same shock and didnt even get emotional, I was just like "aww too bad" but if they do that again esp. with GTA V....... I will be mad at R* for same old sh*tty swerve all the time. I want a happy ending in V dammit! I want to feel good freeroaming after completing the game with all of the three protags for the rest of my life and not some sh*tty replacements like f'n Jack Marston who has a face of V for Vendettas mask. Yeah - that game basically became unplayable after the final mission. I think that was the point though, to usher us off onto the BOGT and staying with that. It's more fun anyway. Suchary
If one of them dies, maybe they will just "ignore" it and let us enjoy all 3 characters after the credits. Far Cry 3 did it. Even if you choosed the ending where the protagonist dies, after the credits you were able to explore the world and get all the stuff you missed.
