StepY0gameUP
Good job, but the video could be a little bit better synchronized with the music. In the beginning everything fits perfectly together, but the more it is coming to the end the more asynchronous it gets. StepY0gameUP
For this complaining about Kendrick I'm not showing off the song more of the video. And I would appreciate positive or negative feedback for the video. The music is chosen because of the meaning and California feel. Something different than California love or welcome to the jungle. The Notorious MOB
That song is straight up rediculous. If that's in the game I'm gonna send Rockstar a f*cking nail bomb in the post and a little note saying "SUPRISE MOTHERf*ckA" Lol hip hop isn't for everyone bro. But I don't know if the song will be but the artist will def. Be part of the sound track based on Franklin trailer. Ima a fan of all kinds of music and ill be sure to add a song that fits a little more with Michael and Trevor. I've been a fan of hip hop for over ten years and I can honestly say that that is one of the worse songs I have ever heard. The beat is pretty good but the rapping is atrocious especially considering Kendrick Lamar is signed to a major label. The song from Franklin's trailer is pretty good but that one is a major no no as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure the modern hip hop station in the game will have good music despite the featured artists being pretty weak rappers. Of course I don't know which artists will be featured but I'm guessing they will be current West Coast rappers, who are a bad bunch by anyone's standards. There alot of GOOD modern rappers (YES, including Kendrick Lamar) There are SO many people that listen to Tupac and B.I.G once and think that hip-hop nowadays is complete crap, which is not true at all. You just need to listen to the right rappers. Theres rappers out there (not mainstream rappers) that can be better than Tupac and B.I.G. in terms of flow and rhymes. Based off today's rapper 2 chains, lil Wayne, gucci mane. Kendrick Lamar is one of the best rapper out right now. The song isn't the best song on the album but in my opinion it fit very well with the theme of gta. Sure there's lines that don't, for one being that the song wasn't made for gta. I don't know who you listen to but being you said over ten years you been listening to hip hop and to insult this song to that degree I'm really interested to know what music of hip hop did you grow up listening to. Honestly your entitled to your own opinion I know people who enjoyed my video and some who don't. And this who don't I hear are really complaining about the choice of music. I've been making videos for a while this was a new program I started using. And I wanted to pick a song that had a great intro, had a cali feel to it. And talked about pursuing that thirst for money. I added thing in the video not just throwing clips but telling a story sort of speak. And I would appreciate more critique of my video and style than the song of choice. Because of course I know not every one loves Kendrick and not every loves rap. I loved Michael and Trevor trailer but I'm not a fan of those songs but doesn't mean I hate the trailers. And with Franklins I never even heard that song.

I'm gonna choose not to answer your question about who I listen to for two reasons. 1. It will probably just open up the door for you to say some thing like "You listen X and you don't like Kendrick Lamar?? ZOMG!!" (I don't know you.. just basing this on 90% of internet users) and 2. It's completely off topic. However if you do a google search for top ten rappers of all time chances are I listen to and like most if not all of them. DryJohnson45
Kendrick lamar sucks Defenitly doesn't suck, Either you don't like the genre in general, or you do but only listen to the sucky songs by all the dumb ass names and rapping about stupid sh*t but think its good cause the beat is good. Either way I can't come and tell you how to view your opinion expesially after my whole profile is biased towards Kendrick Lamar, but beleive me I listen to all kinds of music, classic hip hop (tupac, Bone thugs and harmony) Rnb (Jodeci, Boys 2 men) Jimi Hendrix, Kool and The gang (very old) and Gary Clark Jr. (rock and blues) but Hip Hop is my main and I like to say Kendrick doesn't suck, you haven't heard all his music probably, and only heard swimming pools or GKMC which in my opinion is his weakest problem due to the fact everyone doesn't get the message he is trying to say in the album, and everyone thinks its just an album that you should start playing at a party... yeah right. but anyways I would like to know what you listen to, so I can judge or express opinions like you did. But if you don't want to share who you listen to than I can't have a debate with you on hip hop. So moving on. The scene I chosen didn't 100 percent went with the song b.c like I said the song wasn't made for gta but ill explain to you what I did, besides this is a thread on this trailer. First the lyrics I chosen that's right chosen to fit, because the whole song or atleast certain lyrics there wasn't scenes for so here we go. Me and my niggas tryna get it, ya bish. Hit this house lick tell me is you with it, ya bish. Home invasion was persuasive. From nine to five I know it's vacant, ya bish. Shows Franklin leaving his house in white car with Michael in red car. Hit the house also showing hit referred to as explosion with Trevor blowing it up. Alternative* Michael points out the house their going to hit(rob), and Franklin is shown letting off a shotgun at owner. Next scene they drive away. Dreams of living life like rappers do. Back when condom wrappers wasn't cool. I f*cked Sherene then went to tell my bros. Then Usher Raymond "Let it Burn" came on Shows the life of rappers by showing strip clubs and women and booze. Next scene shows a man saying and displaying hand gesture as in Naw to represent "condom wrappers weren't cool". Also having the scene displayed in black and white. Next seen shows a censored clip and let it burn shows Trevor with the flames. Back to reality we poor, ya bish. Another casualty at war, ya bish Shows homeless bum next shows niko exploding. The only thing we had to free our mind. Then freeze that verse when we see dollar signs. You looking like an easy come up, ya bish. A silver spoon I know you come from, ya bish. And that's a lifestyle that we never knew. Go at a reverend for the revenue Shows them robbing the bank, displaying dollars signs frozen across screen. Next shows the ones being spoiled and who are rich Jimmy and Michaels daughter and wife. If you want me to continue I will for anyone but I am doing this off my phone and its quite some time. In all in all the scene fit if u know or hear the lyrics. Or atleast I tried to the best way I could. Here's the the link for lyricsBtw.

Did you just say that the song is the worst hip hop song you've ever heard, and that west coast rappers are bad.... You sir, have no reason to judge a song or like Hip Hop if you can't even listen to simple lyrics to a simple song and stop listening to the instrumentals. Like Ab-Soul said which is signed to the same label as Kendrick Lamar and it isn't even huge dumb ass. If you actually listen to the song or the whole album, which your not a big legendary artist like Nas and even he said the album was amazing unlike these other Hip Hop rappers, the album is about a young kid that is effected by gang and streets and being without benefits and how he changed by the end of the story (its obviously about Kendrick but he chooses to keep it like a story of someone he made up, calling the character K-dot his former stage name). Money Tree was just one of the themes of the story how they would rob houses, sell dope just to get what they wanted and because they were peer pressured and peer pressured others into doing it. Jay Rock's verse was about how on his side of Compton he would make and sell drugs. Anyways enough of that, West Coast was and is still the hottest (sad to say because I want my New York to stand up), Just cause niggas like Odd Future and Mac Miller are from there (which I don't like one bit) doesn't mean it isn't hot because all of TDE (Kendrick, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and SchoolBoy Q) and Miguel, and Hopsin and ALOT more others make up for it. I would like to know who you listen to in the Hip Hop genre and judging by the way you said he wasn't the 'hottest' artist, you probably listen to mainstream music that is only good for its dumb trap beats (which I prefer a good old school 90s beat) but contradicted by how you said you been a fan for 10 years, you probably listen to people Bone Thugs and Harmony, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Ice, Nas, Jay-z, Common, and other 90s rappers if listened to 90s and if not then you probably listened to 50 cent, Bow wow, Fabolous, Puff daddy, Luda, Busta, chingy, and Kanye. Which were somewhat good.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but he didn't just come up, He been out around the same time Drake came up in like 2009 and he was REALLY nice, he still is but he decided to take a different route with this album like he does with every album and make a story, which sparked his fame and made him the potential king a hip hop of this generation (out of opinions and like 2 interviews featuring Miguel, not facts) which I don't think he cuould be called that yet but he is good enough for it. his first album was just about finding himself and introducing Hiiipower (a religion, he likes to call it, about freeing your mind from fads and vanity, breaking the chains from the government and all that) which came out in like 2009 or like 2010, His next album was 'Section .80' featuring GREAT songs, story of how the ronald reagon era affected the .80 generation (everyone who was born then and lives now) and how a story of how a woman was raped and murder, another was treated poorly and end up liking woman, and how relationships with abuse are, and more about Hiiipower, with the song 'Hiiipower' Prod. by J Cole, about more government conspiracy type sh*t. From then he made 'Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City' A story (of himself) a kid who was damaged by crime and poor and end up seeking god and changed by the end of the story. Everything in each song is sang fromthe kids perspective from each scenerio he was put in, EXCEPT sing about me which was about Kendrick's personal life and went with the story too, in the verses he was talking about people he knew personally and what they were saying to him, like example, when he made Keisha's song in his last album about the rape and murder victim, the girls sister from that song was in this song, sing about me, talking about "we didn't need the attention from that song and if you could really help the people, you could help me." obviously kendrick was rapping it tho. I kinda don't like that he is becoming mainstream but the best combo would be if he still made music like he did with Section .80 and Overly Dedicated and the songs he features in with his friends, Ab-Soul and all them and was still mainstream that would change Hip Hop critically and make it better but I have a feeling he will change like all the rappers do, so I'll just stick with Ab and all the other underground rappers like Hopsin. The Notorious MOB
Just to be clear I don't hate Kendrick Lamar but he is pretty average and that song is terrible (definitely doesn't cast him in a good light). Secondly I didn't say the song was the worst rap song I've ever heard but its definitely in the top 50. Modern West Coast rappers are pretty bad.. hell modern hip hop in general is pretty bad compared to everything from a decade ago and before that. The rap game has taken a turn for the worse in recent years and there's simply no denying that. Its tough to make a general statement but every major rap album after 2009 has been pretty bad. Anyways I feel like West Coast has always been on top of things but that probably depends on what you were listening to before and what your listening to now. Honestly my profile makes me seem like I'm in love with Kendrick and all that but he not my fav. rapper, he is one of them but my all time favorite is Ab-Soul of this generation, another West Coast Rapper. I hate all the rappers now-a-days so I listen to underground only. Ab isn't the most flow friendly, cuz everyone likes a guy who can spit like Tupac's awesome flow but he is more like chill and pause and clever word usage and not just ryhme schemes which makes him eveyones least favorable. Like him, I wish rappers would start rapping about real sh*t.
