Rate GTA V before it comes out!

Went with a 9. I always prefer to ground myself out and not get too carried away with hype. You don't want to go into these kinda things with such high expectations that it'll kill your enjoyment of the game.

In all seriousness though, from what we've seen so far V is shaping up to be a 10/10. I can't even imagine what else is in store. As much as I love IV, it really didn't deserve a 10/10 at the time it was released. Something between 9 and 10 would have sufficed. Then again, ratings are somewhat arbitrary (especially ones from IGN).

The fact that some here are not voting for a 10 is a surprise, especially considering this is GTA Forums.

 

If GTA IV obtained a 10 across the board, I would be shocked if GTA V did not, too.

...Because at least SOME portion of forum members here are with freaking common sense...besides i'm well aware people just didn't understand the point of this topic fully, its not about to determine who will give GTAV ten, its about asking an opinion on what the actual reviewing score the game will receive when its released!...

What's this topic got to do with common sense? It is about making a realistic assumption.

 

Some voting here may not quite understand what the main point of the topic is (but then again it was not clearly stated) but it is still realistic to assume GTA V will obtain a 10 from critics - considering its past major predecessors since Vice City have received the same - and as this is a GTA forum there is the assumption members would have more confidence from the previews & trailers they have seen. Obviously this does not seem to be the case.

I chose 10, but a 9.7 is my second choice. Now GTAIV and it's DLC got very high grades, along with high sales. This game, like San Andreas, will be going all out as it's closing the book on Xbox 360 and PS3. San Andreas was extremely successful, and it was said to have been the best PS2 title ever. I believe the same will be said with V, and it'll get perfect to near perfect reviews. We've all seen and heard what testers and interviewers said and showed us, have confidence in Rockstar. As for the people who gave it a 5..... do us the favor, I wont tell you no more

unlike some people who rated it lower than 10. I am a true GTA fan. No matter what, this will be the best game series that is available. So for that, I give it a 10, and it will stay a 10 once played.

From what we've seen so far my expectations are extremely high so once we finally get our hands on the game there will be something that will dissapoint me so I'm playing it safe and have given it a 8.

well...lets be realistic please and throw away fanboyism for a sec.!...as much as i'm willling to believe this game will be pure "10" i highly doubt it! i mean like c'mmon remind when it was last time you've seen game with perfect score? ...let me guess it for you - never right? thats right, so its like i said fanboyism aside i think, that this game will get strong 9's almost everywhere and probably around 8 from few other reviewers!...

well first off, opinions...

 

secondly, think GTA San Andreas, think Half-Life 2, Max Payne, Zelda: Ocarina of Time or whatever....those are in my opinion perfect games, each respectively. And they deserved 10 out of god-damn 10 since the birth of that stupid rating system, which' only purpose of invention was to either stirr up or decrease consumerism for money reasons....ratings....f*ck that sh*t really

 

most important though, think GTA, think RDR, think MP3. Now those games were really really goof but might have lacked something. RDR had no vehicles really and no skyscrapers, but it had a beatiful environment and a musical score, IV had vehicles and a big city but lazy gunplay and no musical score. MP3 has superb gunplay, stunning cutscenes and motion capturing but is missing the open world, and vehicles.

^this is what will happen to V. The best ingredients of R*'s latest titles combined into one, V. It will be the cream of the crop and considering the crop was already close to perfect (IV,RDR,MP3) - V can't fail and will be perfect, for me at least.

 

Oh I forgot how they also added new game mechanics on the side and revived the good old ones and fleshed those out, like switching characters ingame and customizing your vehicle and all that noise. V = 100 %. 10/10. There you have your rating

dude, no offense but i suggest to read this topic again carefuly, its not about what you "WANT" or what you PERSONALLY give GTAV! ...its about what you "believe it will get"!...which is why i said "lets be realistic"...its not about my opinion, its about common sense...

I read the topic just fine friend, and you said fanboysim aside it won't get a 10, and there is no perfect game. I simply tried to tell you that to me there are perfect games and that V will be a 10/10 for me, no matter what any reviewer douchebag community says....metascore I don't care.
