Fazachino
Well, as u all knw Gameinformer has stated that driving will be much more like Midnight club. In Midnight club, there was an option in the settings that would allow u to change gears manually. I was just wondering if R* would take it tht far in GTA V. Would be awesome! GroundZero
If there is a toggle on/off option, then why not?
TheCzar
I'm sure shifting will be without a clutch, so just click a button for an upshift and click a button for a downshift? I can't imagine how they'd implement a clutch, but I would love it to be manual shifitng with option for auto driving also, in certain cars that is. Kiffster
I don't want it. Never liked manual transmission in any other game..
AB0333
Hell yea, I want that badly. Screw driving when a machine does the whole process instead of you.
assmillk
I'm totally for it. At least have it as an optional setting. Forza did it by making B to shift up and X i think was downshift. I don't recall B and X having much use while driving in previous GTA's, so i could see it being a nice feature.
locolow2011
itd be good if you could adjust it like the GPS on IV where you had the option to have it on all the cars, on none of the cars or only on some cars(4 door luxury sedans, SUVs etc) That way everybody would have an option regarding that aspect. Don_Corleone
I doubt they'll implement it and if they do they will make it optional so yeah.

AZAZEL
They said that the handling would be more like MCLA, not that the game would be like MCLA. I very much doubt that you'll have a manual option, and if there was, which buttons would you use on the controller?
Raavi
They said that the handling would be more like MCLA, not that the game would be like MCLA. I very much doubt that you'll have a manual option, and if there was, which buttons would you use on the controller? My thoughts exactly, as much as I'd love to implement real driving techniques even more. I simply don't say it being possible without it feeling cluttered and awkward. Bare in mind that there are only so many buttons, that only are able to do so many things. But I'm open to suggestions on how Rockstar could/should handle this issue. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise

stee_vo
Don't know. As long as it is an option, sure. I sure as hell don't want it.
