So after a long time I wanted to create a topic again. This one is about the stealth camouflage from the Metal Gear Solid series and about the question, whether you would like to have it included in GTA V or not.

The stealth camouflage was a bonus object in many Metal Gear Solid games, that could be achieved by completing the game one or more times and fulfilling certain requirements. It is an electronic device that makes the wearer optically invisible for enemies, but still hearable because of his footsteps or shooting noises. However. the player can still see the protagonist because the environment is optically blurred around the character.

The explanation of the stealth effect is that the stealth camouflage is bending the light around the user.

Here is an example video about the use of the stealth camouflage:

So my idea would be that the stealth camouflage is either an expensive object, which can be bought from an international arms dealer, or can be found in the military base like the jetpack in San Andreas, or be a bonus object obtained after a successful playthrough or after unlocking a certain achievement.

So, would you like to have it included in GTA V? Discuss

As a special item accessible only via a cheat? Sure!

As a regular gameplay item? HELL NO!

I think it would be cool (my first post was sarcastic lol) but only in a special mission or as a cheat code/item... like the gravity gun that I want tounge.gif

I also would like to have it as a bonus that is extremely hard to get, and wouidn't use it in my first playthrough, bur after that it would be so much fun to cause chaos with it. Or imagine if you could use it in multiplayer but only with the blurring effect. This would be the same as chasing the Predator from the movie. That would be sick. sigh.gif

Why would you not want more features in the game?

Stealth camo? If we are going to add stealth camo why the fck don't we add a dupstep gun inflatble gun like SR4 suicidal.gif

NEVER EVER SAY THAT! panic.gif

.......

As others have said and I agree it just wouldn't fit however I'm cool if we can ware military cloths and skin out weapons the same way with the customization options.

If I recall correctly, then the military is currently producing materials that can "bend light" and create "invisibility". So, it's becoming a reality. However, I don't think it'll fit a GTA game (not at this time period anyways).

dirty dollar bill

I like stealth, but I don't want to be able to make myself invisible like that, I'd rather hide in the shadows, or if you wanna be like MGS, hide in a box.

People don't get me wrong I am all for realism this goes also for Metal Gear Solid games. But this goes beyond this scheme like the jetpack did. The game can be perfectly realistic & still include such a fun device that you don't have to use and can ignore if you want.

Too far fetched and scifi for the current GTA universe.
