Food choices

Remember how in SA, you could choose what kind of food you would eat from a fast food joint? Then do you remember in IV, you were stuck with getting a generic hotdog, burger, etc. Would you guys think it would be cool to choose what you would eat, rather than being stuck with some generic fast food?

It would have to have a purpose though. Maybe different meals refill different amounts of health?

 

So a $1 burger will only heal about a 1/4 of the players health, whereas a $10 meal would completely heal the player.

Considering that it doesn't have the "Hunger" feature from GTA SA, it's pretty useless.

Though I hope we do have a variety to choose from.

I didn't say anything about dying if you don't eat enough, I'm just opening up the idea of choosing more than one type of food when you go to eat.

I'm all for this in the real world, I love a choice of food. But if I'm not really eating it then why does it matter?

It would definitely be nice to have some choices. But I would also like some more creativity from Rockstar regarding dining spots and their locations. Like in the bad parts of town there would be a lot of fast-food joints like Burger Shot, Pizza This and Cluckin´Bell. But in the nicer areas where Michael live I would like to see maybe a farmers market like the one in West Hollywood, great place btw was there last summer, some high-end places like Dan Tana´s and Gordon Ramsay. And in the countryside where Trevor hangs out I would like some classic diners, steakhouses and along the highway some rest stops. The possibilities are endless and I would be very disappointed if Rockstar would stick to fast-food joints and not even allow ordering in places like Superstar Café or what have you.

To be honest yes I would like a variety in food and resturants you can eat at. For an example I could see Michael being the type that would eat at a fancy place once in a while.

Doesn't mean you gotta go through a whole animated cutscene just sit down at a certain table and a waiter comes up and you pick out of a few meals. And if not I really don't care but it would add to things that people like us who like to role play. But walking into a fast food place would be good enough as a actual resturaunt like above would take up space for something so pointless. It's just an idea though.

I like the idea of different types of meals, instead of a plain hamburger or hotdog.

Since stats are back, it is quite likely that the different food you eat will contribute to different factors in your stats. For example, you'll grow fat and your stamina severely drops but your energy levels increase if you order a fatty meal (e.g Cheeseburger meal with fries and soda). On the other hand, if you eat an all vegetable salad meal, perhaps agility increases? My health education ain't that good. And if you eat a regular medium-well Steak, your physical strength increases. This could potentially lead to some form of dynamic food consumption.

And maybe in the middle of a mission, you could get a quick bite out of a vending machine for a quick energy/health boost. The larger variety of foods could be reserved for your free time when you're not in a rush.

 

Which gives me an idea. What if we can now break into pharmacies and steal drugs that instantly enhances your abilities in combat. It would be an interesting addition to missions.
