ed72o
This is why I played GTA IV on Xbox. GTA IV has one of the worst soundtracks ever. I cannot understand how they go from having magnificent soundtracks in III, VC, SA, VCS - to then having absolute rubbish on IV. All it was, was over the top Rock, Russian music to try and fit in with Niko, and other bollocks. I know the Noughties weren't as good as past decades when it came to music, but they could of put abit more effort into that. Rockstar messed up in '08. So yeah, but playing GTA IV on PS3 - when I can't listen to my own music, and end up listening to the sh*te on Radio Brooker or Vladivostok FM - is a letdown, either Rockstar make a damn good soundtrack to GTA V (and judging by Franklin and Michael's trailer they have) then that's fair enough, but if they're sticking to this Post Modern bullsh*t music, then give us the option to play our own. This And it doesn't look like V will be much better I hope we will be able to turn down the SFX audio or whatever it's called without lowering the volume on the radio. Because I can barely hear the talk shows (the music sucked) over the sound of my own vehicle
œaœa
Independence FM in IV is an extra radio station with its own dj, with commercials and news, but it plays your own music from your own playlist. The dj always talks about how your music sucks lol. Currently I have over 1000 songs playin on there. What's cool is you can change the way this station works. You can set it to be like a normal gta radio station with dj, commercials etc, or you can set it so that it plays your music without any interference. I don't know why I felt the need to post this btw... I don't know if Rockstar has the game read the genre, because whenever a rock song is on the guy always says this rock music sucks! ed72o
IV had its own but it lowered the radio volume at the same time
aaronimpact
Rockstar spends money buying the rights to the songs that feature on the in game radio stations. I think people should be a little more appreciative.
Red Hat
If R* adds some good songs then i don't want to insert my own songs...but if they din't insert some good songs and if there is no "Independence FM" then i would just turn of the in-game radio and start my computer and play songs while i play GTA V on PS3. Dope_0110
Rockstar spends money buying the rights to the songs that feature on the in game radio stations. I think people should be a little more appreciative. People do appreciate. People also buy their own music too. The thing is, six months later, you get tired of listening to the same music over and over again, even if you like all the stations. So you just want to add a few of your own songs and have them in there on the radio so they fit in nicely with the game. It worked great on PC for years, especially since SA added commercials between songs, that made it even more natural.
