Shpati
Hi guys, I wanted to see if any of you can help me out here. I am getting annoying lag and low fps after I returned to Los Santos from Las Venturas. I do not remember having this lag for the first time in Los Santos. It usually occurs when I am the southwest and southeast corners of LS. Or when I am looking into those directions. Has anyone experienced this before? I wanted to see if it was a glitch and/or if there was something I can do to fix it? It gets annoying when I try to take over territories with this low fps and lag. My computer can run San Andreas just fine. Intel i7, ATI HD 5730, ASUS N61JQ Notebook. EDIT: Also, I actually noticed I get big lag when I am going through those misty clouds when I am flying a plane or helicopter really high. I do not remember me always getting this lag when I first started flying planes. I started to notice it later on. I play on the highest settings. I tried turning Frame Limiter on, but it is the same. MrMateczko
This is a known issue with ATI cards, or perhaps the ATI drivers. I have an ATI HD 5670, and I have exact same lags in the exact same spots. The only thing to fix it, is to change the Visual FX Quality to Low, but you'll have no shadows and grass, but the lag will be fixed.

The installastion did not work, so I just gave the beta a try and I have the most up to date ati drivers now. I tried SA, and it looked like it got better. But I also changed my anti aliasing to x2. I had it on x3 before. x3 is a weird number for anti aliasing, so maybe that was the issue. Things are running smother now. Everything is max, except aa is at x2 and not x3. I can fly through those clouds. I still get an FPS drop (to 30-40 fps), but not nearly as much as before (used to drop down to 15-20 fps). And I don't get unexpected lags in certain areas. give it a try if you still play SA.
MrMateczko
You know, I was trying anything in the options to get rid of the lag with my ATI lag, but looks like updating the drivers might do the trick. Thanks.
