Apex
I'd also like to point out that James McCaffrey worked with him in Alone in the Dark. James McCaffrey is the voice actor of Max Payne if you didn't know.
ReconzVenture
Oh my god this is so annoying. I'm a voice actor and VOICE ACTORS DO NOT HAVE TO, AND OFTEN DO NOT, LOOK LIKE THE CHARACTERS THEY PORTRAY They don't, they just don't! The only exception is a game like LA Noire where they're modelling the characters on the actor but they AREN'T It's silly to see you all go round in circles on something so irrelevant! You can't take a picture of a balding dude in the same position and claim it's Trevor's voice actor. You can take somebody who sounds like Trevor and do that but not look. It's so silly! Nearly every big game that recently came out used facial recognition and pretty much every game is going to still do that including GTAV. Far Cry 3's characters looked identicle to their actors. As did Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and other big titles. Rockstar aren't going to stop at la noire and max Payne. They are going to carry it over, plus tommy vercetti, CJ, Luiz, Johnny, Michael and Franklin all look like their voice actors. Why is going to be any different for Trevor? This is the guy... DarkDayz
To the whole 'it's not about what they look like', whilst this is true, this is how we found Ned Luke. Shawn Fonteno looks like Franklin, only with a build to suit the character, which is more important.
AuSsIeThUnDeR36
Yeah and also take a look at LA Noire. The guy that played Cole Phelps was a direct mo cap of the voice actor's face
DjDark
I'd like to point out something.. For all those idiots who kept harassing different actors to get confirmation on whether he/she is a VOICE ACTOR for an effing videogame.. You people might ruin it for the rest of us or for the actors themselves.. If you harass them long enough they might tell the R* team they do not wish to be involved with future projects, because they don't want the hassle. Have some decency and respect these peoples private life. They probably decided on not being big-shot Hollywood actors for a reason (with an exception to a few). Miss Darko
Yeah and also take a look at LA Noire. The guy that played Cole Phelps was a direct mo cap of the voice actor's face Well, LA Noire used a very specific technology used to capture the faces directly, because it was a major game mechanic to be able to read people's subtle facial cues. Everyone in that game looks exactly like their actors, including their hair and every aspect of their faces (which is why they had to do their hair and make them wear make-up if the character had cuts, bruises, etc. because it updates the texture while it updates the mesh while scanning) GTA V doesn't use this technology, however (that's been confirmed). They likely scanned faces for the textures, but the shape of their faces aren't exactly the same as the actors'. Michael's been tweaked quite a bit although he still looks like Ned Luke, Franklin is thinner than Fonteno, and Trevor is a bit less gaunt than Ogg (if he is the voice actor). But they are certainly based on them, as this is very much a trend of R*. Even Niko's character was based on the actor they originally wanted to play him, and then when they got Michael Hollick, they made some subtle changes to his face to make his animations match his face better. It's much more apparent in LA Noire but these characters look albeit cartoonish which is the gta way Rockstar do it like this for gta

I am referring to the R* voice actors of which most of them are hardly ever famous, making it easier for R* to give their 'voice' a more recognisable character. And while every hollywood big- shot actor/actress, deals with paparazzi and other hassle every day. These people may have chosen to be just a voice or a stand in/supporting actor vertaling, rather than chasing after all that 'fame and showbizz shine'. Not everyone is in it for the money, some are just in it to make a living and realised they are good at doing voices or small roles, rather than being leading stars or whatnot. But my point is simply.. Respect the privacy of these people.

Yes, most proper actors do it for the love of the craft but I highly doubt they would be aggravated by having their name more well known, as that means more work for them. They'd only have to look at the attention previous GTA actors got. If they didn't want that much exposure, they wouldn't have accepted the part in the first place & could've carried on being 'unknowns'.

alex3
Well, if these actors didn't want to be famous, they shouldnt have participated in one of the biggest videogame franchise ever made. As for fans sending mails and ask ''stupid'' questions, that happens all the time in the entertainment industry.
