How will we get fined if there are no cops around? Fair enough the camera will take a photo of you but this is GTA..... you are pretty much always driving around in a STOLEN car! How will the fine get to you? The answer is it wouldnt! It would just go directly to the registered owner.

What about if you're flying a plane like one of the fast military jets? How're you gonna slow those things down so the game has "enough time to render"?

 

And what about when you're switching smoothly between protags in two entirely separate parts of the map with the zoom out-zoom in effect? That's gonna be a big jump in a very short time that's going to take a lot of rendering

 

The fact is that Rockstar wouldn't have put aeroplanes and that particular switching effect into the game if the software wasn't capable of streaming and rendering this just fine. So the cars will be fast, and there will be no need for toll booths, speed cameras or anything else to artificially slow the player down.

Why not photo-radar as a collectible type thing, Where you have to trip 100 Photo-radar stations all around the game, Getting them all unlcoks a unique police vehicle at all the safehouses.

You can't just drive as fast as you like everywhere in the game due to a phenomenon known as rendering and there has to be solutions that are less detrimental to the enjoyment of the game.

That has to be the worst reasoning ever. Being fined for speeding is just as bad as toll booths. Hell, it's worse. It's not fun to get speeding tickets from speed cameras.

As I keep saying, GTA V, like GTA IV will have rendering issues. It will probably have bigger rendering issues than IV on account of the size of the game.

 

They can't 'figure out' the issue until better hardware is available.

I don't want to be made to slow down, of course not, which is why I hated the toll booths, which is why I hated the cranes in the city. The latter, you had no option but to slow down.

 

Speed camera, you slow down if you want, if you don't then nothing happens but a small fine. It's either that or they bring back toll booths and you get a wanted star if you don't stop.

 

You're not thinking about the alternatives, you don't understand that Rockstar will slow you down to give the game time to render. I know you don't like that but it's a fact and you need to get over it. And if you don't have the intelligence to COMPREHEND this then go away from my thread.

The biggest problem with this idea is there arent any speed cameras in California. This would just be an inaccurate detail to add in the game.

I think the cops sitting by the side of the road with a speed camera would be cool if it were a rarity, but not on every road and not stationary speed cameras that fine you.
