RichyB
Maybe just a couple on long straight roads. Think about it, the game will need time to render the amazing map, and speed cameras are a less annoying way of slowing you down than great big road blocks or toll bridges like in GTA IV. Sure, many people wont slow down and that's their choice, they get a small fine (no cops) and the map may not render fast enough, that's their punishment. RichyB
You're saying no but giving no reasons. Is it more fun to be forcefully stopped at a toll bridge and get cops after you if you drive through without paying? Or be slowed down by a camera that will fine you a small amount if you go too fast? You can't just drive as fast as you like everywhere in the game due to a phenomenon known as rendering and there has to be solutions that are less detrimental to the enjoyment of the game. MuXu96
Would be just like the cops in Mafia 2, I hated it, I want to speed in open world games when I want to speed, would suck to get a star for it. Would be quite alright if you just had to pay something I guess. but still, I'd rather not have this in the game^^
wwinterj
No because it would be pointless just like toll bridges and is just putting restrictions in place that don't need to be there. I always just smashed through those toll bridges.
MuXu96
yeah, if they do smth they should do moving bridges like the bridge in london (yeah I really don't know the name ) So you could at least still jump over it^^

I should not be punished for driving fast like I want to. That is complete bullsh*t.

I should not be punished for driving fast like I want to. That is complete bullsh*t. You're a complete and utter f*cking moron. As I keep saying, GTA V, like GTA IV will have rendering issues. It will probably have bigger rendering issues than IV on account of the size of the game. They can't 'figure out' the issue until better hardware is available. You're a f*cking moron because devices to slow you down, WILL, be in the game. Now what I'm suggesting is, do you want them to be forced or not? I don't want to be made to slow down, of course not, which is why I hated the toll booths, which is why I hated the cranes in the city. The latter, you had no option but to slow down. Speed camera, you slow down if you want, if you don't then nothing happens but a small fine. It's either that or they bring back toll booths and you get a wanted star if you don't stop. You're not thinking about the alternatives, you don't understand that Rockstar will slow you down to give the game time to render. I know you don't like that but it's a fact and you need to get over it. And if you don't have the intelligence to COMPREHEND this then go away from my thread. Killerdude
Why not photo-radar as a collectible type thing, Where you have to trip 100 Photo-radar stations all around the game, Getting them all unlcoks a unique police vehicle at all the safehouses. I get rendering stuff, no one likes pop-in, but traffic laws and speed cameras are DEFINITELY the wrong way to do it. Also, it sounds as if this fine will be unavoidable, while the police are avoidable. That sounds more forced than anything.
Bantri
That sounds like a hassle. I don't want to lose all my money free roaming. I want to speed damn it. Laws are for real life.
iNero
I had no probs in GTA4 with the map when driving full speed. Some little textures had a very small delay but thats it. I dont want to get slowed down at all. These long straight roads we have seen is what I missed in IV. Just listen to ( hopefully customizable) soundtrack and drive full speed with the current car physics and damage visuals across the highways in the desert and countryside. That will be awesome. I just hope the framerate doesnt go down when doing that...

Rock Howard
They won't be. Intoduced, that is. Because the addition of speed cameras would add nothing whatsoever to the gameplay and enjoyment of the game.
Miss Darko
Uhhh, OP. The game streams in detail in real-time. They don't have to slow you down to make it happen. This reasoning doesn't even make sense. The player can easily speed through the toll booths at any time, so it's hardly an obstacle that will allow the game to load things better. The game's engine does this stuff on its own. It might not be perfect, but I highly doubt that's why R* put them in, because if it was, we wouldn't have a choice.

I'm with this guy, I drove like a bat out of hell most of the time in GTAIV, and slamed though Toll Booths like they were nothing at all, and had little to no rendering issues ever. If speed cameras make it in they should work like Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012) just to tell me how fast I blew by that f*cker and nothing more really. Combine this with Killerdude8's idea and we have one hell of a fun collectable IMO.

I<3GTAV
I've never encountered any rendering issues with any Rockstar products. You're over exaggerating, Rockstar has been doing this for years, they know what they're doing.
