What if I suggested a feature where you make friends with NPCs, and then they start calling you on the phone to hang out, and they just keep calling and calling and calling, they never stop, they always call and they always demand you drop whatever you're doing and go and do stupid pointless boring sh*t with them? Can you imagine? R* would never do such a thing, everyone would hate the game, nobody would buy it after the first few days because word would spread, they'd lose all of the money they invested in making the game and R* would go out of business.

The thing is Rockstar fixed their mistake with that. TLAD which had the best system and TBOGT also got rid of the annoying calls. I'm sure V won't have them or it'll be like TLAD or TBOGT.

The thing about fuel is that I have no control over it, It will empty regardless of what I do, Sure it I could easily refill it, but what If I am miles away from anything the remotely functions as a gas station and my car runs out? Simply not true. You would have just as much control over your gas as you would your health, your armor, and your ammo.

 

Getting shot depletes health. Get more by buying food, finding med kits, calling the paramedics, sleeping with whores, etc.

 

Getting shot depletes armor. Get more by buying it or finding it.

 

Shooting your weapons depletes ammo. Get more by buying it, finding it, or picking up weapons from dead foes.

 

Driving depletes gas. Get more by buying it at gas stations, stealing gas cans, calling a tow service, etc.

That's not a reason to exclude people who like getting gas. I think an option would be the best solution because everyone wins there. Yes, there will be more people asking for optional stuff, but frankly, I've already seen people ask for optional blood and swearing and it doesn't look like rockstar will add those in.

 

Fuel is different purely because it has way more support than censor options. Clearly a lot of people want to get virtual gas, and making it optional will satisfy them and people who don't want to get gas can keep it off.

Yeah I mean how is it being lazy if you're playing a Video Game? You're working your hands on the controller or keyboard so you're putting some muscles to use in your hands and fingers. It's not lazy at all. If you don't want to use the feature, then that's his/her perspective. You can never be lazy when playing a Video Game, lol.
