I'm just not a fan of automatic shotguns honestly. Can't really think of a REAL need for one, I mean unless a whole battalion of the North Korean army was within 100 yards of you, out of ammo, and charging with bayonets.

I'd go with the USAS-12. The design of that gun is awesome and it has alot of firepower too!

I don't know too much about shotguns. I just want a nice range of different shotguns with different and unique attributes, qualities, and design, based on real-life models.

I never said I didn't want them in game, the more weapons the better for GTA. I was just stating I didn't personally care for them. I'm more of a rifle /hand gun, or pump shotgun style person.

The AA-12 automatic shotgun f*cking pulverizes everything.

"DAO-12" is a fictional and generic name EA DICE made for the Armsel Striker probably due to licensing issues. "DAO" stands for "Double-Action Only", and the "12" obviously stands for "12 Gauge". The "drum" on the gun is really a cylinder, like the ones found in revolvers. Double-action pretty much means that squeezing the trigger cocks the hammer or striker and rotates the cylinder, and the gun then fires when the trigger is pulled all the way back. So, the Armsel Striker is definitely not an automatic shotgun, and it would be practically impossible to convert it into one.

 

As for the Origin-12, that's only limited to semi-automatic fire.

 

There's really a reason why not many automatic shotguns are made though. High cyclic rates of fire would be very difficult to handle while lower cyclic rates of fire (like no more than 300 rounds per minute) can be achieved with semi-automatic shotguns or, with enough practice, even a pump-action shotgun with slam fire abilities (like the Ithaca 37).

The AA-12 is obviously the winner, with it's magnificent recoil and rate of fire, but I personally prefer the USAS. I don't know why but I just like it. BTW, I always hated the Jackhammer, it's the world's ugliest gun in my book. Overall I prefer the pump-action stuff, anyway.

What we really need is a double barreled hunting shotgun or a lever-action shotgun as posted above.
