Hello but it's XBOX Magazine why they will show it on PS3?

Never believe everything is as it seems...

De presentatie werd gegeven op de Xbox 360 en Boris zag twee missies, eentje waarin de drie hoofdpersonen, Trevor, Michael en Franklin moesten samenwerken bij het overvallen van een geldwagen, een zogenaamde Heist.

They saw the preview with 2 missions being played on an Xbox 360

Bullsh*t. They either made a mistake or are just lying to get more attention. Everybody obviously saw the same demo on PS3.

You should do a little research....

All mags saw the demo on their own on different tvs with different R* employees.

Read the Kotaku Preview and you will see...

Lol, of course there's always someone who just doesn't seem to think with logic, don't mind him. Why would GK even lie about such a thing, as if they have anything to gain by saying it was on Xbox 360 when it wasn't? Surely Rockstar wouldn't appreciate such unnessecary lies. But it seems they are the only one that saw it on 360, cause every preview that was put on GTAV.net was speaking about thePS3 version.

I've never seen this comment by Rockstar. They said that the differences will be slight? Which is to be expected , but still...most of the time you never get an answer on these things.

I asked for they by [email protected] and they said this:

"Hey Thiago,

Thanks for taking the time to email us with your question. As a rule, we do not confirm which platform our pre-release assets are sourced from because it only serves to fuel unnecessary console flame wars. If your underlying concern is whether the game will look as good as it does in the current trailers on your system of choice, then rest assured the answer is yes. While there will always be some very slight variations in how any multi-platform game looks on one system versus another due to the unique hardware of the consoles themselves, trust that we’re committed to making sure Grand Theft Auto V looks and runs as great as possible regardless of whether you pick it up for PS3 or Xbox 360. We hope this helps and stay tuned for more about GTAV.

Cheers,

Thanks man. That's actually cool of them to reply to you anyways, instead of simply ignoring you. They actually make a point there too, it can and will fuel unessecary flame wars on some forums. I don't think flamewars about consoles is a big thing here though, which is really good.

I agree, i will get GTA V for both versions but first for my XBOX 360 in September 17th, and after i will buy my PS3 next year with GTA V for him too. Those guys don't know they are playing the same game with the same graphics, i'm getting for both because i want this game in all my consoles biggrin.gif

Whatever dude. Why don't you give me a good reason why GameKings would lie about such a thing? They are a website/show about gaming in general, not just Xbox 360. They don't favour the Xbox 360 or whatsoever. Some sources before MP3 came out saw it on the PS3, me and my crew saw it and played it on the 360 in April last year....so your point again?

@ eerik

That is a very interesting point you just made there. I'm not saying it's true, but it's one to think about.

@ Mosquito

I get the feeling you seem a little concerned about the 360 version of GTA V, largely because 99 percent of the demos were shown on the PS3.

So naturally you would wonder what's happening with the 360 version, with fears that it might not look so good. I went through the same thing on my PS3 with GTA IV and RDR, only to find out for myself that they looked amazing on my PS3 and I had nothing to worry about the whole time.

Don't worry man lol, I'm almost sure that the PS3 and 360 versions of V will be visually very similar and more or less the same. What you need to worry about is the strong possibility of multiple discs for the 360 version. If I owned, a 360 I'd be very concerned about that, as I really would not like to play GTA V on multiple discs.

Well, the consoles are starting to show their age now.

Their visuals have reached a plateau, where they can't get any better.

So they look pretty close, I mean the only different between both console versions of L.A. Noire was the brightness IMO.

I think they showed it on the PS3 because, after all, the PS3 DOES look better, and the lighting is better or something.

lol. how do u know that PS3 looks better when all screens claim to be PS3 and even if there are 360 screens no one knows which are from xbox and which not.

anyways, where did Xbox Mag confirm that they saw 360 either?

Wait a second, WHAT?

First, LA Noire had better anisotropic filtering on the PS3 and the textures were good on it too as compared to the rival version, it wasn't just a matter of "brightness", the shadows were better on the PS3 version too.

And say what? you haven't seen any footage of the X360 version of GTA V, how can you possibly state that the PS3 version looks better.

Also, the second pic in the comparison, the 360, it does NOT look like that.

Well ...Maybe it does, I never pay too much attention to that sort of stuff.

This. After all, Max Payne 3; w/c is a RAGE-based game, has better graphics on the 360.

GTA 4 performs well on the 360.

RDR renders and performs well on the 360.

the lighting was better and the game was a little darker , but don't forget that it was developed for the PS3 first then the Xbox , if the two versions were developed in the same time , the two will have the same graphics , and if the Xbox version was in development first , it could have been better looking than the PS3 version

Yes, of course, everyone else saw the demo on PS3 but this one tiny Dutch gaming site saw it on XBox 360.

I guess you could say that i just found it a bit odd. But i admit, i also found it a bit worrisome, cause if both versions are developed individually, why not show both versions? But now we at least have one source that saw the 360 version. The reasons i make such a big deal of it is because GTA is pretty much one of the reasons i'm still gaming this day, i just LOVE those games and nothing in terms of gaming comes close to the experiences i have in these games. Xbox 360 is also by far my console of choice and i'd simply be very bummed out if the PS3 version would have a clear edge over the 360 version. It's good that you enjoyed GTA IV and RDR, and my guess is that you didn't watch any comparison videos of the two versions, which actually is not even a bad idea at all. Just ignore those videos and enjoy the game for what it is. I am not concerned about multiple discs though, if that happens, it'll be to access the next part of the story, and that's no big deal for me really.

Would make sense if it was shown on 360 but it all depends on what preview they see.

Either way I voted for Xbox
