The-San-Andreas-man
for me fuel sounds like a good idea, adds to the realism, we saw pictures of gasstations so maybe they put it in Adds to the realism, decreases the fun. I'd rather see a feature add to both.
wwinterj
Honest answer? Not a chance this will be in the game.
Creed Bratton
I loved car fuel in Mafia and Mafia 2. It gave those games another layer of fun. It didn't run out quickly. You could drive around a lot without having to refuel. You didn't have to constantly check the fuel. Although the game world was pretty small, especially compared to how big GTA V will be. But I'd still like it in GTA. All those gas stations and all you can do is blow them up. It feels like a wasted opportunity.
StepY0gameUP
Theres fun and realism. This feature isn't fun it was used in mafia 2 and it served no purpose. Rockstar isn't going for complete realism and neither are they going for photo realism graphics for this who complain about that. People asking for more gore and so on have to realize if they took gta any further than what it is it might get itself banned. There trying to play it safe. But back on topic op understand that it's a game and what fun will it be to have to repeat a mission over and over b c u got short on gas going to a mission. Not saying it won't happen but doesn't seem like rockstar would add this feature or that other one where if you run in a wall fast it just explodes. MassacreGTA
I'm pretty sure there was already an topic about this here. I think it would be nice for realism, but the fuel usage of the car should be low otherwise it would become annoying in my opinion.

lhreetegs
It would make the game more realistic, but imagine being chased by the cops.. then you run out of fuel. I think they will add that feature.

But bikes can't get over 100mph or drift. I like sports cars. Why should I be forced to get gas if I get attached to my sports cars? I like driving forever. I don't see what's wrong with driving forever. This is not a simulation of real life, it's GTA. Where mexican club owners steal subway trains for arab businessmen. Getting gas seems out of place and slows the game down unnecessarily.
assmillk
If you had a car in real life you would hate having this feature in GTA.

G D
How many f*cking times this topic has been rehashed? the OP's post was ALMOST the exact same as the one before him...... Do people learn? i guess not. Call of Duty while the same game never changing atleast are more original and creative than this 'copy and paste the last thread with some changes here and there' OT: I Agree with almost anything Racecarlock says regarding this 'interesting' topic. No need to carry on, i'm sleepy anyway.
Owedem Wingy
Good feature, not compulsory! For example, there simply is no fuel meter. Just if you pull into a petrol station and you want, you can park next to a pump and hold Y / , Then the character starts adding fuel and you choose if you want to pay or not. If not, you get a low level wanted.
DeafMetal
I personally hope there is car fuel, but with a toggle option for that extra bit of realism. Would add a great challenge to the game. Yes, the challenge of fuelling up. lol reminds me of
killahmatic
I understand why people would want fuel, and while it sounds interesting, I think it would get old pretty fast, like the way you had to constantly feed CJ in San Andreas. It was fun at first, and then it became a nuisance. They only way I'd ever want it is if you had an option to turn on/off unlimited fuel, and I think options like that take away from the game. meson1
For such a feature to be worthwhile cars would have to run out of fuel often enough to make you have to refuel which would be bloody annoying. And by annoying, I mean it's in the GTA:SA hunger and "Hey cousin, it is your cousin. Do you want to go bowling?" category (i.e. bloody annoying). But conversely, if the cars didn't run out of fuel often enough to have to stop at a gas station, the feature would be useless anyway. So it's either got to be annoying or it's got to be useless. And any one of those are very good reasons for not having it. Edited May 10, 2013 by meson1

Yes, the challenge of fuelling up. Or.. You are at a 3* wanted level, and speeding away when suddenly you run out of fuel, what do you do from here? what i do? i get out of the car, get in cover behind it, shoot the cops comin towards me and after the first heat is gone i grab a police vehicle or a car (left by a bystander who got out and ran away after the shooting started) and continue to get away from the cops... sounds like fun to me. all you narrow minded fuel haters always act like u would need to refuel every five minutes and like it would be the most annoying thing in the world and a total gamebraker if only theres a chance of u runnin out of fuel at some point in a bad situation or if u r forced to ditch a vehicle... to all of the "what if...?" comments all basically saying the same thing: if ur engaged in a chase with the cops in the middle of the desert and they ram ur vehicle so it flips over and lands on the roof, what do you do? (hint: its GTA goddamnit! get over it, shoot u out of the situation and steal a new car!) OT: with all that vibrant economy and like thousand ways to spend ur money on in V and all the detail they put in the game (new previews) and especially the gasoline on fire things, R* mos def will put fueling up ur car in V! MARK MY WORDS: fueling ur car WILL BE in gta V !
Audiophile
This has been discussed 69999999.9999x on this forum already. My answer will be the same as it was the other times...I don't mind this feature, in fact the more features the better BUT for this particular feature I do believe there should be an option to turn it on/off. That way when you are just free-roaming and desire to have this feature on for whatever reason, you may do so. And when you don't want it, you may turn it off. Everyone is happy. TripleRob
I wouldn't mind as long as it was realistic, meaning a full tank of gas will last you about 450 miles. But again it's stupid because your always destroying your car in ten minutes or less, so filling up the car is pointless.
