5000 Staples Posted May 10, 2013 Share Posted May 10, 2013 Were coming up to the vital information stage of this game now (imo), bound to see game play leaked in the next few months etc. for me this obviously won't stop me buying the game but when is enough information enough and if so.. when will you stop reading up on the game, looking at new screens or game play videos (if any). I'm going to go hide in my shell for the next 5 months and not read anything, from now on. I've seen what I wanted to know... the rest of the game no matter how small of information it will be. Those f*cking idiots over at game trailers pretty much spoilt the early stages of GTA IV when they decided to show footage of Niko killing Vlad in their video review WITHOUT warning. I won't watch videos of story missions or the like and will keep myself as spoiler free as possible but watching trailers and maybe a little gameplay will hardly ruin the game for me and still leave a lot for me to enjoy when I play the game. I'll also watch/read reviews but by the time they are out I'll already have the game so nothing is spoiled. I'm always interested in what others have to say when I buy a game. Last year when they announced the game for Spring 2013 and those previews came, i was like "Ok...let's just read these few previews, understand a bit what its all gonna be about and thats that". Then i decided to stay away from any other articles, cause i was afraid that it would ruin my hype and the element of surprise, especially that. But after the delay happened and a few months without info, i just HAD to read up on the new info and i must say...it hasn't ruined my hype at all and it hasn't ruined a surprise of element neither. But still, i DO want that element of surprise to remain in tact when i start to play the game. I'd rather not know any more things about the game now, cause last week we did get a overload of information. Just screenshots now and then, artwork...a launch trailer and done. That's how i like to see it. I honestly think it's way too late in the game for Rockstar to start releasing gameplay videos (like those from RDR, MP3, LA Noire) they would have done that much earlier on, but you never know. I honestly hope they won't do that, cause seeing the character(s) in third person for the very first time on your own tv screen is always a special moment for me, only with a new GTA though. I'm a hardcore Bethesda Game Studios fan and i loved Fallout 3, Oblivion and Skyrim, but i watched all the gameplay i could watch of that, i didn't care.
