GTA wouldnt quite be the same without them. Hats off to them, they are utter geniuses of the gaming world. I just remember this one the best, when he said there is definitely no GTA planning process or any new GTA title in development and he has no idea when they begin with development. This was in September or August before the trailer was released in November. There have been a few of those statements (not only regarding V) in the past, but that's the latest one I guess. So nobody can say they planned V in 2 or 3 months and developed so much they were able to give us a trailer. That would be completely greenly to say something like that. So ... I think the 'Hot Coffee' scandal made them retreat even further from the limelight. @DS 17 The only time a GTA game isn't in development, is the time they give most of their staff off after it's completed. I also think it could be the hot coffee scandal too. But it's not their fault, it was the PC players who exploited it. Dan and his brother are actually humble and don't really care about fame. I totally understand they wanted to keep the title in secret, but there is no reason to give a complete wrong statement. He could easily said: "No comment." or "I can't give you any further information concerning that." and the thing would have been done. jamieleng > I know there is always a GTA in development. Of course, he had a good idea when creating GTA, but this is not the reason for being praised as a hero. Also I haven't said I wanted an announcement a few months before the first trailer was released. The short announcement of the new trailer was good (not the whole marketing was good, but the short term between that was good). I said I don't wanted him to say something which is wrong. Just: No comment. That would have been all. No lie, no announcement, nothing. And this was by the way just an example. He did that more often saying something that was in fact not the truth.
