Spider-Vice
I'm not disappointed at all, it adds to the cinematic feeling I've felt GTA has always had. Plus, if you don't want to use it... don't. It's not mandatory. mikeinthahouse
Considering the age of these guys, shouldn't their skills be a max already? Lol
Poedersuiker
Not disappointed at all. Makes sense if you drive your car/shoot your AK 47 allot you will get better.
Finn 7 five 11
Mild skill building is brilliant, it gives you a sense of achievement as you free to roam, seeing your stats increase is brilliant. I don't see how this bothers anyone, it's such a mild thing, you hardly notice it. GTA is popular because it incorporates so many different genres, adding RPG to the mix like in San Andreas makes sense.

aaronimpact
I'm sure the driving skill will be no different to how GTA IV's vehicles handled.

TellEmRye
I loved the schools in SA but I never did get gold for the last driving mission Oh yes, that last driving mission in SA was a pain in the arse! I remember it took me a entire day to complete it
gta5freemode4eva
The special abilities I think will be cool. Skill building I'm in two minds about so I'll wait to play the game before I pass judgement. I'll be annoyed if I can't drive a vehicle or shoot to my standards because the characters' skill level doesn't let me... that'll be frustrating. STOGE
im sorry op but im the complete opposite, I LOVED THE SKILL BARS in san andreas it gives you ANOTHER reason to keep plugging away at the game to get the characters skill to maximum. it gives you a sense of achievement for the hours that you have grinded driving swimming etc etc. also i do BELIVE in real life the longer you drive the better you get??? Druffmaul
Ehhh, I wouldn't say I'm bummed out. But it's definitely not something I was hoping they'd bring back. I'm pretty "OK, whatever" about it.
jamieleng
This is the one (and pretty much the only) thing that has me nervous. I hope it is subtle & that practice will be the overriding factor when it comes to being a skillful player. I spent a lot of time becoming a competent driver in IV & that came from experimentation & practice. I played TBOGT last night, for the first time in months & it was like riding a bike (or car in this case), you never really forget. One thing I was thinking about reading in the recent magazine previews (thanks member RDL for scans). I wonder if the characters animations change subtly when their stats improve? Somehow I doubt it.
