However it's an old thing (from 2008, had to change HDD once), it still works perfectly. Except for the noisy sound of it, but turning the volume higher solves that problem. Johan Posted May 9, 2013 Share Posted May 9, 2013 I'd get the PS3 version since that's what they've been showcasing a lot in this game, but if you already own a 360 you should just stick with it.. though you'll have to pay extra to play online and there's a possibility it'll be harder to start up the game the first time on it than on PS3 IF there's a mandatory install or multiple disks, who knows. JoeM Posted May 10, 2013 Share Posted May 10, 2013 If you want to play online, PS3 if not get whatever is the cheaper/what your friends have - no point buying a PS3 if all your friends have Xbox's as you wont be able to play against them. But if you do get a PS3, you then have the bonus of a Bluray player. Also consider which controller you would rather use. Im a bit biased as ive only had Playstations since my Sega Mastersystem lol. I mean GTA V looks very nice and big and I'm guessing Rockstar are having fun using up all that gb-space that the Blu-Ray discs can handle. I prefer Xbox for my own reasons but I'll play GTA on the console it performs and looks better on. Xbox probably will need multiple discs which I lied to myself before and thought didn't bother me but Max Payne was a bit of pain swapping discs. I've only ever owned a playstation for the last ~17 years. I'll be getting a PS4. There is no lead platform. Rockstar are building the game independently onl each platform to squeeze out all the power from each one. The only difference between versions will be so small you won't notice unless you compare them closely and that PS3 will only have 1 disc and 360 will have 2-3, I think. When it comes to consoles it's a bit more difficult. Both are great and have their good and bads. Ps3 has blu ray and free Internet. Xbox only has DVD and you need to pay for Internet. DODI3OG Posted May 10, 2013 Share Posted May 10, 2013 PS3 and 360 is almost the same. Except for the few downgrades on the PS3, to be honest. PS3 and 360 almost have the same GPU and CPU. But developers have to turn down the number of objects spawning at the same time on the PS3 because of its slow RAM. So pick the one w/ more MP friends because you'll be paying for MP as well.
