Buying a new console that will be riddled with technical problems, lack of games, and a high price point of $400-$500? No thanks. I'm glad it's coming to this gen. If they do bring it out for the Ps4, it still wouldn't be an incentive to buy one.

They can do that already. Have these next gen folk lived through more then one console life cycle? The way they act makes me question it.

 

I won't be rushing out and buying a next gen console on day one and don't see myself doing it for a year or two after release. The lack of games, price and chance a slim version will come out down the line is the reasons. Due to this I'm happy R* have stayed with current gen as it will have more focus. I also play on buying any cross platform game like AC: Black Flag or Watch Dogs on current gen consoles. My 360 and PS3 have a lot of life left in them(just as R* said themselves) so I don't feel the need to upgrade for a long time yet.

Yeah R* are idiots. I mean why would you release your prize game on a console with an install base of 100 million, when you could release a prettier version & sell a maximum of 15 million copies. Just doesn't make sense. R* will be out of business this time next year, mark my words.

I'm totally in favour of a next gen version, but to suggest R* should make it a priority is ludicrous, especially from a financial standpoint. It's no mystery why the first couple of years of a new generation of consoles is seriously lacking in quality games, it's not lucrative enough yet. Anyway, it would be PC first & then that version would be used to port it to next gen.

One good last game before the next consoles. The only game I'm ever going to invest money for is GTA... No GTA = No Ps4/Xbox for a while. I was able to play that sh*tty GTA IV for the last 5 years, I'm good for 10 years with V.

Meh, I am not upset at all. I am going to be buying the next gen consoles either later this year or next year, but please believe me when I say that I am going to be heavily enjoying GTA V, along with the plethora of other awesome games, on my PS3.

 

If the next gen consoles have some great launch titles, I will buy them at launch. If they don't, I'll wait.

Even if it comes out on Next Gen I'd still be sceptical to get it mainly because new consoles at launch tend to have hardware issues. I normally wait till the 2nd year before I get it or like last year, waited till a new GTA game came out or MGS.

Obviously, Rockstar had to make significant sacrifices to make the game playable on the current generation consoles.

 

Alas, there will be many more GTAs that will take full advantage of the next generations of hardware. Let's enjoy this one for what it's worth and look at it like the icing on the cake, the final sendoff to the 360 and PS3.

 

I do hope they make a port to the next gen consoles but only if many improvements are added and only if it is quite a ways down the line. I am not going to pay $60 more for improved aliasing and a few higher quality textures. I would also not buy it if I lose all my saves from the 360 version.

 

I purchased an Xbox 360 2 weeks after it launched in 2006. I had so many technical issues (sent the console back 5 times in total) that it was mind-boggling. I learned my lesson; I won't purchase the next Xbox until a few months after its release.
