reform
Might buy a superslim PS3. Going to want to keep a PS3 around when PS4's out anyway, so it might as well take up as little space as possible. Been wanting to build a new PC for a while too, so when the PC release date is anounced I can get to work on that. As for consumables while playing: Water. Heard the SuperSlims are sh*t. Apparently they are poorly built or something like that. I wouldn't reccomend that, just get a Slim PS3 or Slim 360. Well that sucks. Will stick with the slim then as that's been fine. Maybe they'll get the reliability sorted out with later SS models.

Hvitdverg
I'm wanting to get proper equipment for directly recording gameplay off my 360 and PS3 since the PC release may still be a ways off. Any good, user friendly recommendations? Happauge HDPVR gaming Edition 2 is what I'm using. PS3 requires the use of component cables + 2 HDMI's. 360 only requires HDMI. When running games at 1080p, you might experience blurr effects on text on the PS3. but everything else is perfect always record at 720p

So quiet, light, cool and nice looking. Got it for £129, the 12gb model but I had a spare 320GB HD so put that in and saved myself £100. Nothing wrong with it. Joseph Cooke
Losing weight. In fear that I may add a few pounds when I inevitably get sucked into this game for a couple of days at the start. Happy with my TV. Though wouldn't mind getting a sofa and coffee table for my room. Have all my snacks sitting ready. (Crispy M&Ms FTW!).

Scares me... Ya, I'm probably jinxing it right now, but I don't know how I've been so lucky. Got my XBox in June '08, one of the original, big ones. Here we are 5 years later and its still going strong. I've actually gotten the RROD several times, but every time its happened, I frantically shut it off, leave it a few mins, and then turn it back on, in which every time its come back on green. So I guess it wasn't the true RROD. Very odd.
Blue_Mason
I have owned an xbox slim since February 2012 and haven't yet experienced RROD But some people play on there xbox for hours with poor ventilation so its no wonder the console breaks down. Don't know how many times it had been dropped aswell. The thing just kept running all those years.

d3ex2
I haven't bought anything for GTA V but I have a brand new PS3 (old launch model died few weeks back) and I've set up some nice speakers for my TV. My TV's screen is starting to mess up (backlight issues/burn in/faulty pixels) due to age. I got it about 5 years ago. Might end up having to get a new one. On the 17th, before I get the game, I'll go through all the settings on my TV making sure brightness/contrast etc are at their proper settings and put it in gaming mode. I'll adjust the bass/volume levels on my speakers. I'll make sure my PS3 is up to date, internet plugged in via Ethernet, free up space on the HD, controllers are charged up. Once that's all done I'll head out to the shops to pick the game up and buy loads of drinks and snacks. That's about it.

Valamyr
I got myself a nice Dell 27inch monitor a month ago but I'd be lying if I said it was specifically for GTA, one of my PC monitors just needed an upgrade. I AM rebuilding a User Tracks playlist though, that Im using right now for a SA replay, but intend to use in GTAV.
