gui_olecio
I was playing Max Payne 3 today and we do know that GTA 5's shooting will be similar. Max Payne's gameplay is awesome, but there's no recoil when you fire the weapon. The aim (dot) does not move. Do you think recoil would improve the gun fight feeling, or you just don't care? sorry about my english, btw. Durden
Yes, recoil will be in V and I am not at all disappointed. I'm sure as we train our Shooting skill (speaking of, I wonder if each individual weapon has its own skill meter), less recoil will be one of the perks. YoungChrist
some slight kickback would be nice, but it should stay generally in the same spot. This is grand theft auto, its a relatively arcadey game so no need for too much realism.

Umm, it was not confirmed to my knowledge, but dude its common sense. Its like seeing the Hydra in trailer 1 and knowing we can fly planes... Extrapolation is key when seeking new information. GTAIV had recoil, so we can expect it. Also, just imagine how unrealistic it would be to be holding down the trigger of a LMG and the bullets do not stray away from the reticule's path at all. This unrealism would never be in GTAV, so that's basically evidence of V featuring recoil.

They improve a lot on RDR and even more on Max Payne 3.

That's why the aiming reticule gets larger the longer you hold down the trigger, and the bullets go in all sorts of different directions. You can't really compare RDR well since most guns are semi-auto or bolt action. I don't know MP3's recoil too well, though. But I am sure GTAV will have gun recoil. ChronoStinger
the less recoil there will be - the better! I hate that thing! that doesn't make guns feel more realistic it just makes things overly complicated and instead of enjoying causing mayhem and chaos with tools of destruction i have to worry about my aiming accuracy! Nah...
crispypistonx8
Mmmmmmmmm.......... recoil. It was sort of in iv and it will sort of be in v.
Honest Bill
There should definitely be recoil in my opinion. Obviously the more powerful the gun the harder it shoud be to control. I feel it adds a sense of satisfaction to gun handling and also allows them to differentiate between weapons a lot more xaml
TheIllaDopest
there is recoil in MP3. The if you hold the trigger down, the bullets spray everywhere around the dot. Shoot in small bursts, pulling the trigger then loosening and repeat. Aim for the center mass and slowly move up for the headshot. Its perfect! Get a feel for the weapon and it shall treat you right.
