How you will play story for the 1st time?

Tonight I was thinking a little about how I will play this game, because if I will rotate players for 1st time playing then maybe i will miss something important about them + if I will play storyline for 3 times game will seems to be longer and with focus on one protagonist.

I believe it was said that you will need to change in order to play some missions.

in some, but after co-op mission you can return just to "your" one

Rotating of course, to get a feel for each of the characters.

I don't want to be playing as Michael and then meeting one of Franklins friends and have no idea who they are, but if I really like one of the characters over the others I will play as them.

Rotating if possible. I'll do Trevor mission up unto a certain point then switch to the other two and do there mission, do the major mission using all three then back to Trevor again.

 

I'd imagine if I did a mission with Trevor this would move the other characters story along so I might have to switch character after each mission but I'm hoping no mission will be locked out from the player as I want to experience everything in my first playthrough. I'll be using the major missions as landlocks in a way as in past GTA games I did everything I could on a island before going onto the next. This game doesn't have landlocks so I'll have to use the main missions such as heists as my landlock.

I'll definitely play as all 3, frankly all 3 characters/stories interest me. No idea if I'll cling to one the most yet, or even who it could be until I actually start playing it. But I'm planning on cycling through them all a lot.

I too have difficulty picking a favorite.

 

I like Michael because he has that Robert DeNiro or Ray Liotta feel to him.

 

I like Franklin because I liked CJ and he can slow down time while driving.

 

I like Trevor because I like chaos in my GTA.

 

Each kind of has their little implied vehicles of choice as well...and I like all of those.

If I get to choose who's story missions I will get to play first I will go with this order:

 

1. Michael, he is really interesting, and seems smart.

2. Trevor, he seems interesting.

3. Franklin, I like him but not as much, i'm not to fond of the gangvibe, but I surely say I respect him.

 

Then when i'm done with the story it will depend on what i'm doing, if I want to create chaos I shall play as Trevor. If I want to be a bigshot in Rockford hills I will play as Michael, or if I wanna be a cool younger guy that drives some fine as cars I will play as Franklin.

That's what I was thinking... that we'd HAVE to change characters at some point to keep the story line going right. specially setting up some of these heist they have.
