corvettelover
Is it a fairly good card? I am thinking buying one for very, very cheap and I'd like some input into how well it is. Games (ones that are fairly demanding) I'll be playing occasionally with it: Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012 Saints Row: The Third Crysis 3 Metro 2033 Metro Last Light Grand Theft Auto 4 Far Cry 3 Any estimates of what sort of settings/performance I'll get? I'll be playing at 1680x1050. Core-i3 2100 3.10ghz 6GB DDR3 Windows 7 64bit

Finn 7 five 11
A 660 would be much better. As in like it would get close to twice as many FPS on almost every game you play. Edited May 9, 2013 by finn4life

Core-i3 2100 3.10ghz For $50 it's a decent deal IMHO. For 1680x1050 I'd think it would be fine as long as I don't go crazy with settings? I'm most worried about Metro Last Light, and I hope 2gb's of Vram will get rid of the stuttering in NFS MW 2012. EDIT: Will it not allow me to play older games like Thief Gold/2/3 or NFS 2/3/HS/PU? I heard newer Nvidia gpu's had trouble with older games.
yoječ
Newer cards and operating systems have compatibility problems with older games in general. Neither NFS2 nor NFS3 work fluently on my GTX470 on Windows 8 (nor on 7). There might be a solution to this, but I don't care, i don't play these games anymore anyway

Neither NFS2 nor NFS3 work fluently on my GTX470 on Windows 8 (nor on 7). There might be a solution to this, but I don't care, i don't play these games anymore anyway I can currently play them fairly flawlessly with some tweaks. Thief needs that engine patch/replacement thing, and NFS needs a tweaked D3D setup to work on my current specs. Hopefully the Nvidia card works with them. Any clues as to what settings I can play the games in the OP with? I'm fine with a steady 30fps if needed, GTA 4 might be the only one you guys can answer though. I do require running at native 1680x1050 as I do now, I can't stand below native on anything.
Wolf68k
If anything I think you'll find that the i3 will hold the 650Ti back.

I don't know how CPU intensive the games I listed are. Will it hold it back alot? (ie. performance will be the same as my 5670?)
yoječ
You should see performance increase in all games you've listed.

corvettelover
GTX650Ti was better, but oh well. Also would've been a bit over twice as much since in the last two seconds it jumped way in price. Do i need to uninstall the current drivers (13.5) or are they fine? It's a HIS IceQ X Turbo 6790 GDDR5 1GB. Edited May 11, 2013 by corvettelover
