ORIGINAL: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has begun handing out invites to a Grand Turismo 15th Anniversary event next week where it promises “exciting announcements” will take place. Grand Turismo 6 anyone?

 

The event is scheduled to take place on May 15 at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, according to the invite (via NeoGAF). ”Join us to celebrate 15 years of Gran Turismo, and discover exciting announcements about its future,” it reads.

 

Over the past month or so multiple retailers have started carrying listings for Gran Turismo 6 on PlayStation 3. Could this event finally see an official unveiling for the game?

GT is something i've always been interested in, but Gran Turismo 5 was a disappointment beyond belief.

 

I need much more info to be hyped for GT6. They seriously need to step up.

Yeah i agree, 1,200 cars is a gigantic amount of cars. I don't believe the game will have that many.

From the leaked info, it sounds good so far. I just really hope GT6 has a deep and extensive singleplayer like we got in GT4. One that i can get into for hours and pretty much get lost in.

I think the leaked info was proven false.

Alfa Romeo 155 Toruing Car - PREMIUM

Jaguar XJ220 - PREMIUM

Jaguar XJR-8 (Already got the XJR-9)

Audi S1 Quattro Group B

Honda NSX

Toyota Supra - Not sure about this one to be honest, it's very likely to appear anyway.

Car list is looking FAAAAANTASTIC so far!

 

This will probably be the best year for gaming ever.

What I want to see Is a lot more basic street cars in this game. Like things most car dealerships actually sell. Basic cars like Ford Fusion, Chevy Monte Carlo... those types of things. I've always wanted to race Pontiac Grand Prix. Don't ask why, I haven't a clue.

This, that was my main disapointment with GT5.

 

I don't have good enough internet for online play, so I missed out on allot, like the seasonal events and other things.

 

Besides that GT5 was amazing, can't wait for this.

 

Looks like allot of the cars that didn't have full fledge interiors that should have do now, so that's nice. Judegeing by the detail on the Countach.
