DWTDevil Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 We've been told it is similar to the likes of Red Dead Redemption, about 25-30 hours. It was a challenge completing GTA 4 in less than 30 hours, and on average it took 40 hours. We're all aware that there's going to be tons of side missions, activities, mini-games and exploration as well which will indeed make it bigger than GTA 4, but I'm just a little concerned about the campaign length. It's still long no doubt, but with three different characters? I'm not sure how it'd pan out. The story is probably the main reason why I play GTA games, and it's a hot topic that has been on our lips a lot recently after watching the trailers. GTA 4 did indeed drag on but still captured my interest once again when we got towards the end. With fully-captivating motion capture and hopefully a smashing script with some fascinating characters, GTA 5 has the recipe to be superb. I really get a huge buzz and sense of great achievement completing a large game without any use of cheats. Is this '25-30 hours story length' confirmed by any chance? I'd like it to be considerably longer, although I can't take it away from people that some don't have the time to delve deep into it. Will this slightly shorter campaign be less evident drowned out by many side missions? Or will it really end just as things get interesting? It was one of those games that would still take a good couple of days to cover the main storymode if you were to play it without putting the controller down. GTAaLEX117 Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 How did it take you 40 hours to complete the campaign? Each mission took no more than 15 minutes each, you could even do some in less than 5. So that's still 24 hours max. I'd rather have a shorter campaign with proper, diverse missions. Yeah me neither, still haven't done any bounty missions, trafficking missions and still haven't done things like basejumping and scuba diving lol Definitely taking my time with this.
