Let me put an example: You jump off an airplane with Franklin and switch to Trevor right before he hits the ground. What would happen? Will a message pop saying Franklin died? Or the game continues as if nothing happened and when you switch back to Franklin we see him walking out of the hospital? I'm pretty sure the preview said you can switch in freeroam ONLY when the game let you to (That's if a character get a Wanted level, you can't switch until you lose it).
