Kill Frenzy!
In the last preview on 30th April there was a new feature added that I didn't really like. - If you die, the game reloads to the last checkpoint, even if two other characters are alive. 1. I'm a bit worried about this new feature, this is very new, in the past titles, when we died we reappeared in the hospital. 2. Does that also mean we don't have to save the game anymore? In the new feature it says that the game we always reload to the last checkpoint, doesn't it? Thanks for reading and share your opinion.
Tobias_Rieper
I'd have to guess and assume that it will only apply during main and side missions. Not free roam.
5000 Staples
1 - that's in mission, which in theory was in GTA4 as well through the phone function. 2- we never had to save in GTA4 ?

There was the option in IV that you could save automatically and on your own.

Remember the checkpoints in TBoGT? They were only in missions, and didn't appear at all in free roam. It worked pretty well.
Grand Theft Auto TOM
I'd have to guess and assume that it will only apply during main and side missions. Not free roam. This is what I think as well. Just like what 5000 Staples is saying, when you had the ability to go back to a mission via the phone in GTA IV. At least, I hope it won't appear in free roam. That would be disappointing IMO. You never know what the feature in V will be like.
DlZZEE
Pretty sure It's only in mission bro
jamieleng
They're talking about when you're on missions with either two or all three of the protagonists. There will undoubtedly be a checkpoint system for all missions. Edit: ok, bit late to the party on this one. It will be like RDR/IV in freeroam & MP3/TBOGT on missions.
