(especially since devs confirmed that this game is going to have the MOST amount of vehicles of any GTA game, which is huge, considering that GTA SA had over 200 different type of vehicles!) Asian_Ninja1 Posted May 16, 2013 Author Share Posted May 16, 2013 I hate to Piss on people's bonfire but I'm pretty sure there's technical limitations to rendering a tank especially on current gen. the main problem being the tracks, it turns out that animating lots of moving track components takes up alot of ram, ram which is very scarce anyway.This is why the rhino in S.A just had car wheels on it. Incorrect assumption and conclusion. The X360 had no problem rendering the APC. Also, rendering an APC will not solely rely on RAM, it will use many other resources. I think you misunderstand me, I'm talking about the tanks tracks, it will have to render and animate every sprocket and every link in the system and every single entity has to have parameters programmed. A APC is alot like any other car when looking at it from a modelling point of view, 6-8 wheels and a turret.
