For the mountain bike fans

So now that we have a proper full suspension mountain bike and some crazy terrain to go with it, who else is looking forward to being able to ride down the side of mountains at full speed, find big gaps, huge drops river jumps, all that, im super keen as i used to ride downhill myself, also seeing as there was a pretty decent northshore track on chilliad in SA i wonder if V will get something like it.

 

The thing is though, the fun of Down Hill mountain biking is the descent and to get to the top, depending where you are, usually you'll have some one doing shuttle runs in a van or a ute, or car with a trailer whatever was available, or a chair lift if you were at a mountain bike park.

 

So with that car carrying trailer actually carrying cars, the small trailers we have seen and the fact that you need to gather equipment for heists (maybe you can store things in car boots, truck beds and vans now) anyone else hope we can throw a bike into the back of a van or ute and drive up a mountain with it? or just drive around finding cool spots to ride?

 

also, im wondering if you can sort of control what other protags do, while you control another, say i drive up the mountain as michael, with trevor in the passenger seat, instruct michael to stay put, switch to trevor and get my bike out of the ute, then maybe switch back to michael and set a way point marker for him to drive to (bottom of the mountain) so i get to the bottom as trevor and if michael isnt there yet, i can instruct trevor to stay put, then switch to michael and up the pace, have a bit of fun driving down the mountain as well, i think this would all be awesome, but i do doubt it will be in

This is like literally the single most awesome post I've ever read! I'd actually use Trevor to ride down as well, since he just doesn't give a f*ck. If you think about it, they really should have something like this to be possible. Otherwise, why even have the other protagonists rendered as A.I., what would the point be... It'd be boring if we couldn't actually do awesome things with them. R* claims that a lot of the game is still yet to be revealed so it is rightly possible.

Definitely looking forward to this, can't wait to take advantage of that varied terrain.. the ability to trailer a bike sounds great. Hopefully they do things like they did in SA like put the bike/vehicles/parachute on top of Chilliad.

 

I just hope they set up the jumps with a little more thought and intent in V. It seemed as if most of the ramps spread throughout LC in IV were set up to launch you right into a wall, or with no real room to pick up any good amount of speed.. Or launch you into the river if you went too far.

I love Downhill mountainbiking in real life, this would definitely make this the best game of all time

I hope that the suspension will also feel different on an hardtail in comparison to the fullys

HELI DROPPING BIKES AND RIDERS TO PEAKS THAT ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE BY ANY OTHER MEANS

 

think about it though, there may, just may be a feature where you can have a winch type thing hang from your chopper to just pickup cars off the ground, like maybe an electro magnet or something, so if there is and it is to be able to be used on all types of things, then heli dropping bikes to mountain tops could be a possibility, looooooooooong shot but would anyone else love it?

Oh god yeah. I think that'd be a great addition in general. In this situation it would really help further encourage exploration of the awesome map filled with wilderness. Finding your own lines running down the mountains would be a blast.

Take a look at the latest screenshot of the cuban 800 flying over the coast like, the slope that the end of the right wing is on, looks like it might be possible to ride down that in a straight like and just drop off at the bottom, imagine the speed! and then the next one over from it, theres a big cliff to jump off with a big long slope of transition, so keen to see just how far i can fly off that, i just cant wait hah
