solofme
So I was just watching another trailer breakdown of the Michael trailer and in that they point out to the sniper scene in which we see a bullet actually going trough someone, however it didn't leave an exit wound. I was assuming (actually hoping) that after RDR R* would implement bullet wounds in GTA. So do you think we are going to see bullet wounds like RDR or not? Edit: I was referring to Here is a pic of the shot Ps. I couldn't find a recent topic covering this aspect, if there is please delete this Edited May 8, 2013 by solofme

ryann112
It looks more like Max Payne 3's bullet wounds.
AirWolf856
I have a feeling instead of arms and heads blowing off we'll see the bullet wounds like in MP3. I thought R* did a pretty good job with bullet wounds in MP3 so it would make sense to carry that over to GTA V.
solofme
Yea I just came across that pic somewhere, however I really don't see it But it's safe to say it's more subtle than in RDR?

I haven't played MP3 yet, did they also implement different kind of bullet wounds in MP3 like say hand guns leave different wounds than a shotgun blast? samyG
I think they've crafted bullet wounds in vain of Max Payne there. Though, from what I saw in Michael's trailer where that one guy got shot on the boat, the exit wound didn't have any sprites like you've seen in MP3 and RDR. A large caliber bullet from a sniper rifle should leave a big exit wound, however you see just some blood squirting out of his back
StepY0gameUP
Sometimes with trailers they don't show as much gore so maybe that's the reason it's not so explosive with massive exit wounds. I'm sure when the final game is release we will have something very similar to rdr or max Payne. I feel like with everything made after gta iv they will take bits and pieces from each and put them in gta v.

Also it's a feature or tweak or w/e you wanna call it that I'm sure they can polish up on later. Even with gta iv they didn't mention how realistic it was when u shoot a ped and they lay on the floor pleading for life. It's a lot they won't reveal right now even with the small things. I'm sure the physics well get will be a lot better than gta iv and closer to what rockstar has given us with rdr and max Payne. Their not going to go backwards

Their not going to go backwards Hopefully because for me those little features are important. I think bullet wounds are important because it gives firefights a more dramatic feel (because you actually see the damage you cause).

Of course the physics I would really enjoy tho as far as firefights is an improvement with the euphoria engine. I wanna shoot someone in a certain part of the body and they react to it. Legs foot hands neck which ever. I would also like if they bled out holding there wound. When someone is caught in a explosion I wanna see them fly not in a rag doll look with there arms and legs spread like if their stretching. This are things I find very important despite the actual wounds. I rather realistic death scene animation.
MizzouRah16
Keep in mind that the gore shown in the trailers is probably not the final product. I have a hard time believing they will down-grade from MP3/RDR...hopefully it's improved from those two.

nismo13
I hope this post gets some attention from members at rockstar. I would really hope they implement the better gore system seen in rdr and max payne. The game would just seem that much more real.

To bump a question I asked before, since I have not yet played MP3 are there different bullet wounds for different weapons types? For example the difference between a handgun shot (single (smaller) wound) and a shot gun blast (multiple wounds). I would love to see that implemented in GTAV

If you've played RDR it really isn't anything like that. Max Payne 3's gore is amazing. So I guess it's likely this or an improved version will be implemented in GTAV, even though I still see no evidence (sorry gtafan899, I still don't see it in your pic, I guess I'm just going blind ) in the trailers Off topic: Is MP3 worth a try if you haven't played the rest of the series?
