Sunrise Driver
I will be hyped depends on what they'll put underwater. In JC2 it was beautiful but only had flora and fauna with no things to do (apart from hiding).
rare.steak
Isn't it 3.5x the size of RDR and 5x bigger when adding the water in the mix? Still much bigger. Incorrect, it is 3x the size (or 3.5x) of Red Dead Redemption WITH the underwater being included. And from the previews, the underwater portion is HUGE which means that the actual land part is only like 2x or 2.5x bigger than RDR which really isn't that big when you facter in the fact that there will be cars and planes. Remember, in RDR we got around on horse which was a bit slower which in essence made the world feel huge. This is exactly what I am talking about, people will be in for a huge letdown when they actually play the game. I think people aren't accounting for the fact that the underwater takes up a huge part of the game as the previews say and that the actual land won't be as big as we all hype it to be. You're pretty f*cking stupid. Plain and simple. 1. R* claim 5x RDR with underwater, 3.5x without (just land) in the previews: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=553993 2. It's in consensus that RDR > GTA IV in map size. It's been discussed over and over. If you don't believe me create a poll or just a thread asking which is bigger. I hate it when people type sh*t out trying to sound smart (even starting your post with "Incorrect" as response to someone who actually is correct, what a perfect specimen of idiocy you are) when they can't even get the most basic facts right. ajrunke
I'm interested in it but not hyped about it. I think it's cool that it will have more depth to it than san andreas, glad that many myths of san andreas have come true in GTA V like submarines and sharks and stuff, but I'm not stoked about it, no. I do think it will be cool if they do something like have you sink a ship, then later go retrieve something from it. Big Foot will be sighted under water. Mark my words. Miss Darko
2. It's in consensus that RDR > GTA IV in map size. It's been discussed over and over. If you don't believe me create a poll or just a thread asking which is bigger. Basically, the map as a whole is nearly twice the size of IV, but the traversible portions (the area within the valley that constitutes the playable area) is roughly the same size, from my understanding. So it's interesting just how much difference it will make depending whether, when referring to the map size in terms of RDR's, they mean the map as a whole or just the traversible portion. Personally, I'd imagine that an R* guy talking about the map in terms of how big it is compared to previous games would just be thinking about the entire mesh of the game's terrain rather than the arbitrary borders (it might not even occur to them while doing the math that the playable portions of the map only constitute a little over half of it), which is why I have hopes that they're referring to RDR as a whole. But even if not, that's still quite a large map. It's just that the alternative would make it nearly twice as big.
