Are the Grove Street Families and the Ballas REALLY returning?

I mean, the 'Ballas' gangsters have 'SA' on their shirt.

The 'Grove Street Families' have 'LS' on their shirts.

 

Am I the only one thinking their names might have changed, just the names, leaving the cores of GSF/Ballas behind?

I'm hoping GSF and Ballas make a return. It'll be nostalgic for big fans of the original SA. But I hope, if so, it doesn't divulge too deep in to it. I'd not really wanna know who runs the gangs, as they'll never quite live up to the originals.

To be honest I doubt that means anything.

Nothing came out of R*'s mouth.

For all we know, it could be the Saints.

In the new GI article didn't it confirm the purple gang is called the "Ballers"

Game Informer confirmed Ballas.

 

Grove St set of Families may not exist, but the families in general is looking likely because of purposeful over-use of green apparel in screenshots and trailer.

The "Ballers" are apparently returning.

Even some form of the families might return, just not under the same rules/names from the past as we've clearly seen in

Franklin's trailer.

The Ballers are returning. And Franklin will probably belong to a set of the families that isn't the grove street set. We just haven't found out their name yet

This has been discussed many times. Ballas are already confirmed, Grove is not and I doubt will return.

Also, if you're black, hanging around a bunch of black people, wearing the same color shirts, with the same logo, in this case, "Bench" and are hanging around a place filled with "Bench" graffiti, then yeah.

Yeah the more we see of these purple and green gangs the more likely I think they'll be called Grove (or just the Families) and the Ballas (now Ballers it seems if GI is correct)

 

But like the brands of GTA, I think it'll just be in name and looks, and not be the same as the III era counter parts at all when it comes to people and history, hell at first I was thinking that the colors where just a nod to San Andreas, but with the GI stuff coming out today, it seems it may happen.

You're right about the "SA and LS" thing IF the Ballas and Families operate all over SA and LS respectively.

Grove Street gang might return but I'm stretching might 30 miles or so.Even if they do return CJ and co can't.But looking at it from a real life perspective Grove street was a clear parody of Compton,hell even some of the characters in the gang resembled the NWA. Ryder=Eazy E. Compton isn't really as criminal as it was in the 90s.No disrespect intended in any way.

Wrong.. Grove street is not killer hills.. Grove street might be in 5 as another set.. Just this universes version of grove street so it will be different.
