Raavi
Yaaaaawn. Someone wake me when a decent thread is created. Cheers There are decent threads out there, somewhere. Well they seem to be lost in the local Bermuda Triangle (otherwise known as Pages 2,3,4,5...) Pretty much so apperently. If I would get a penny for every bad thread created.. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise
- Disco -
To be fair OP, those were the first things I noticed about that screen also. That and the PS2 style textures on the dock to the left of Frank's ass.But those things really have no affect on gameplay, and will not make it "unplayable". Frame rate on the other hand is VERY important in my opinion.I am slightly worried about the FPS only because of how good most of the graphics have looked thus far, and it's running on 7-8 year old tech. I trust R* though, and with all the content that is confirmed now, I think this will be the best GTA by far.

kesta195
Well my TV is Full HD and capable of displaying 1080p. GTAIV is one of the games on PS3 that can upscale to 1080p (not all PS3 games can do this). Does this mean that, providing V is the same, this wont be a problem for me?

Sorry if you are already aware of this, but the PS3 does not render games at 1080p, they are all being rendered at 720p (Not all, like COD is rendered at a lower resolution). @iNero Definitely right. BullworthAcademy.
Bad Graphics never stopped me from having fun. I don't remember the legend of zelda ocarina of time, mario kart, or vice city having good graphics yet I had lots of fun with all those.
BUT THE BENZ
The more I see threads like this the more I hope there will NEVER be a PC version What a huge fail post friend. Just because a dude talks about how he's worried over Aliasing, you wish that hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people won't ever get to play V on PC? You're pathetic, shallow and pedantic man.

Yes. The Game Informer one has like a layer placed over it to make the overall picture brighter and with it make some areas appear darker, while the image Rockstar released is the base image. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise
Heath_89
LCD TV, HDMI cable, 1080p I don't think I'll have any issues. Also, four months before the games released I think for at least the next 2 months they will be still working on it just polishing, touching things up, final adjustments etc. Don't worry about it lol. FutoDriver
LCD TV, HDMI cable, 1080p It's impossible to get 1080P (on most games - yes I'm aware a few random games do!). It doesn't matter if you got 1080P on your TV and a HDMI cable. It's still a upscale from a non anti-aliased 720P image.

InternetKillTV
Aliasing annoys me to hell. On a console I go in expecting it so I'm fine. Regular console players don't tend to mind because it's present in all games so it's not a major issue but I do agree it ruins the beauty a little. Have to live with it though. Lukijs
I have noticed this and I don't really care. Still played San Andreas and GTA IV today ,both were fun considering their difference in graphics, physics e.t.c. ,stop being graphics whore ,also game will look a bit better on it's release. You're right, going by the replies here I guess most are "eye adjusted" to it. I'm with you though, aliasing is really noticeable on moving images and grit your teeth annoying. I had eye strain sometimes attempting to play RDR on the PS3.
supermati
While I don't care much about aliasing, I noticed that on some games, playing 1080i makes them look a tad better for some reason, as if the compressing reduced the visibility of jaggies. Is there any technical answer to this?

Kipsta
im playing videogames since 1991 so i can't care less about your 720p crap. im guessing that you are a 14 years old PC fa**ot so f*ck you. Firstly, a 14 year old wouldn't have a gaming rig, they'd have a console. Secondly, OP isn't bashing, he's not saying the game will be bad, he just wants to play it with the best possible experience which is at 1080p+ with 16xMSAA I think the screenshot looks stunning! It's GTA....

No one is asking for "better graphics". It's ill-informed to dump people that would like some aliasing in the "graphics whore" crowd. It's 2013, and even your most basic tablets have aliasing on their games. Why do they do it? Not for graphic whoring but for better display purposes.
