IV and RDR (which I play on PS3) remain my favorite video games ever, despite the "640p," "jaggies," etc. V is only going to look better so the petty nitpicking here is trollish at best. You have this bizarre conception that it's impossible to enjoy a game while admitting that the graphics aren't the best. Didn't any of you kiddies ever play games like Super Mario Bros? Ultimately, it's the gameplay that counts. I'm sure most of you graphics whores aren't exactly "lookers" yourselves. Yes I have. It's a good game. Graphics don't matter for it. I don't get how a few damn pixels being jaggy somehow makes the game unplayable. Even on a PC if you disable AA, games still look good. I get you don't like the aliasing on consoles, but the aliasing doesnt bother me so lets agree to disagree and get over it. On certain points like on maps with many object and edges, it sometimes was a mess to see an enemy because of the pixelated edges Personal preference my friend. I guess my eyes are more tuned to seeing past those edges cause I shot everyone as square as I could. Even with that, it affected literally nothing. AA has to be one of the most bitched about graphical features, and I have no clue why. Games didn't even have AA like 12 years ago, and nobody complained then. because 12 years ago we havent played in HD... I doubt you even know what aliasing is after this comment... Anti Aliasing slightly blurs the edges on objects in a game to get rid of any pixelization that may distort the image. I'm well aware of what it does. I'm saying that people back then didn't complain, so we shouldn't complain now. It obviously doesn't make a game unplayable. Also, I am quite a nitpicker myself. I take a lot of time to admire graphics in games, but when it comes to such a small thing, it doesn't matter. I play games for gameplay and story, not graphics. The fact that there is a thread about this, is just stupid. Either wait for the PC version or shut up. Nobody complained about AA on red dead, so why are people complaining now? For me coming from the PC, graphics are very important, because i pay for it. Preformance is even a higher priority. And looking back at gta iv for the consoles, im a bit worried. Some people see screenshots and they notice some 'ugly' things, but i bet when they have the game, they won't pay attention to it at all. I agree that pc gamers have the right to demand better graphics since their hardware is better, but you better not complain about consoles. We like pretty graphics yes, but we prefer consoles for a reason. Find me any pc that has 512 ram being able to run gta v?? That's one of the reason why I know that games on ps4 will look a lot better than pc fanboys claim, optimization baby. Not too long ago AA was not existent so I don't know why you punks bitch about the smallest stuff all the time. See how their legs go "black/white/black/white" - yea, those aren't multicolored up close lol. When the camera moves, those are going to look like they are spinning and static objects are going to be jumpy and spinner-looking all over the map at console resolution. Screenshot looks great, but in motion, that is going to be a mess of pixel-fighting and super ugly. It's going to be ever-present jaggie-land. This game will be unplayable for me at 720p. I will pass this game until I can play it at higher than that resolution. You? Before you decide: I suggest look at the image in its own tab, hold CTRL+Scroll to zoom in til it is fullscreen. That is what the game will look like at that resolution on any tv bigger than the screenshot. As a cool black dude told me.... "MAN! SHUT CHOOOOO BITCH ASS UP!" Today the argument can be made that the advancements to graphics today has lead to sub-par games being released. They just try to make up for it by making it pretty. If you wrap a turd in shiny wrapping paper, at the end of the day its still just a piece of sh*t... Nobody is even gonna try and dispute this? Wow, no sense of humor here at all... The game will be entertaining despite how atrocious the graphics are, what I really hate is the opinion that "graphics don't matter or such thing isn't needed". This story that "graphics don't matter" couldn't be more nonsense. Graphics and visual quality play a huge role in immersion, emotional connection and other psychological factors. Of course, a game is not good because of graphics alone, but saying graphics do not matter is a huge display of ignorance.
