Well yes of course it was debunked as a fake, but does anyone know where it originated from? The one thing I remember about it was that it had a SQUARE mini map. Anyone got a link to that picture? The square mini map was probably a guess. Field of view seems wider than IV. Maybe just because of the angle of the shot. But that was also said in the previews, a 'wider view'. Look at the size of the TV lol, it doesn't even have frames which is obviously a good thing. I don't think it's going to be much wider than IV, just a bit. It is possible that it's just a well made photoshop, but there are a couple of very interesting points: - The radar is square and in the bottom left of the screen, as this Norweigan journalist confirmed - This definitely isn't just a photoshopped image from RDR, although the graphic quality seems to line up with the slight criticisms from the demo (the game clearly looks current-gen, although we can see lots more detail/variation than in older games) - The style and coloring of the clouds/sky look exactly like what we've seen in trailers/screenshots - The size of the hill in the background fits with the massive scale of the map, and is far more vertical than RDR Does anyone know where/when this "screenshot" originally came from? Maggot899 Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 I noticed Trevor's shadow being off as well. The color of the shadow doesn't match up with the tree shadow next to it. Also his leg shadows don't make sense with the way he is standing, with his angle and where the sun is supposed to be, his left leg shadow should be more blended with his right leg instead of them being clearly apart as if his body is turned more to the left. As far as the Minimap goes, it doesnt look like how I thought it would look anyways. It just looks the same as RDr minimap but is square. Plus the blood on Trevor's hands and ground looks fake. CVG's preview mentioned three bars on the screen. I don't see them in this screen and it looks pretty weird too. Of course, this could be a very early build. To be fair it also said he saw Weasel hunting deer... so i think its plausible he got Left and Right mixed up lol... even plausible he got Square and Circle mixed up tbh. I could be wrong of course, but just the lighting, the clouds, the sky, the trees...it just doesn't look like R* to me. I was playing RDR just last night and I don't think the animations look anything alike. Maybe its a game from another developer, but I highly doubt that's from any R* game. And OP, thanks. Ya its mostly recycled info, but there were a few new bits in there hadn't heard before. And the grammar problems were good for a laugh too (in a good way).
