DODI3OG
XBOX360 magazine will reveal something "special" this May 15. And this 16th, Take Two will hold a conference as well, w/c was rumored to reveal the PC and Next gen versions of GTA V. The former is very likely, though. But, considering the next-gen of consoles will have a PC's architecture, it is very likely that we might also get a GTA V for next-gen reveal. TLDR; the coming XBOX360 magazine GTA V "surprise" and Take Two conference might be revelations for PC and Next-gen versions of GTA V. Correct me if I'm wrong, though it's very likely. SuperCrayon
I learnt enough to know not to waste my time or money on next gen consoles. PC only from now on. Hopefully GTA 5 comes to PC, because after this gen, I'm done with consoles.
Racecarlock
As long as it's not next gen exclusive, I'm cool with whatever.

Hopefully GTA 5 comes to PC, because after this gen, I'm done with consoles. I for one won't be upgrading my VERY OLD PC. Parts are TOO Expensive that Consoles are my only choice. I was thinking of buying the Xbox360 lately, but the Next Gen is just a few stair cases away. It'll be a waste of money considering many of the current gen gamers will move onto the next gen in the coming years. Watch Dogs, GTA V(assuming), Assassin's Creed 4, Battlefield 4 and COD:Ghosts are enough to keep me playing Next gen. As long as it's not next gen exclusive, I'm cool with whatever. It'll be Rockstar's dumbest moves if GTA V's a next-gen exclusive. Look at the much bigger market awaiting in our current gen. I'm sure Rockstar will make a Next Gen and PC version of GTA V just for the extra cash. At least 25% of current gen gamers(mostly american richies) will move onto next-gen. Certinty
Really hope it does! But if it is I question why they would announce it now. Announcing it after the PS3/360 version has launched would be the smartest thing to do, would maximise their sales.
RichyB
It's not likely, it's a certainty. This game has cost hundreds of millions of £ to develop, Take Two will want to maximise return on that investment as much as it can, and of course this means it will be released on next gen. People who say otherwise just do not understand the fundamental economics of business that is to maximise return on investment as much as possible. Do people really think they will miss out on millions of $ of revenue by not releasing next gen? Just as San Andreas was released on next gen. I can't see it being announced though until well after it has been released on 17th September. My guess is they'll announce/release March-ish 2014. Hopefully GTA 5 comes to PC, because after this gen, I'm done with consoles. Why? You can have a finely tuned, stable and optimised machine for way less than a high end gaming PC. Plus all the exclusives. It'll be well worth owning a console for a long time to come.

DODI3OG
^Of course, I'm not being an idiot. I'm just telling the possibility of a next-gen release. Imagine how GTA V played w/ a hardware 8x better than current gen's could perform. With Additional details and Improvements. I'll surely get much immersed to it than that of the current-gen. Plus all the exclusives. It'll be well worth owning a console for a long time to come. I agree with you. That's just the advantage of consoles: you don't have to look to the specs. When you buy a PS3/XBOX 360 and a game for one of these consoles, you already know it works. With a PC version, you ALWAYS have to look at the specs. Than you realize the processor will not be able to handle it, so you'll have to buy a better one... For over 50 bucks or more. Also, I hate playing games on PC. The controls for driving a car aren't realistic (as I may believe from videos on YouTube). I will always stay using a console. Way easier AND cheaper. No need to upgrade or some. I'm sure GTA V will work great on the current gen consoles. Even on my PS3 Fat, that's from 2008. ^^

While a next gen version is likely, don't expect it until there is a decent sized install base. That won't be until at least 1 1/2 years after both new consoles have been released. jperkovic
And upgrading my PC is like 3x the expense. you guys are saying that like you need to upgrade your PC every year to play those games. That is the case only if you want to play at highest settings. But if you want to play with graphics like console, you don't need to upgrade it that often. and don't forget how much next gen conoles will cost at release, you could get a new high-end PC for that money. Druffmaul
Just as San Andreas was released on next gen. WTF are you talking about? SA ported to Xbox? That was same gen. If they do decide to release GTA V on next gen, it will probably be about a year after the current gen release.

Johan
I gave up on those conferences thanks to people like you, we learn nothing about the damn game the last 3 conferences at all after all the thrown in speculations. MosquitoSmasher
That Xbox 360 magazine only said they had something unique. No way is that going to be about a next-gen version, cause the new Xbox hasn't even been officially announced yet. So no , no and no. But believe what you want, just don't set yourself up for disappointments.
Ice1980
In regards to Next-Gen: Q: "All things being equal, if you had the opportunity to do a dual-generation launch, would you see that as a net benefit or is it too arbitrary to even know?" Zelnick: A: "There is not one gamer who is gonna sit out of Grand Theft Auto V hoping that something down the road is gonna come along that's better. Grand Theft Auto V is going to blow everyone away, and it will be in the market in September. In terms of strategy around current gen and next gen. We have to wait for the announcements. And as I said, look, we're always looking over our shoulders. I'm a big believer that arrogance is the enemy of continued success, but we're planning as well as we can, and we think we're extremely well positioned, and our creative teams have a burning desire to bring consumers what they want when they want it, and I'm convinced we're going to keep doing that." Noticed he said .....We have to wait for the announcements? Even though it's PS3 and X360 only launch, it technically could happen on next gen. Because at the time the PS4 had not been announced nor is X720. So how can TT/R* announce a next gen game if there is no hardware yet announced? But that has now changed. PS4 is already coming and the X720 will know more on May 21st. So there is TT coming out party for GTA V next gen and future titles!!!
