cgvince
I've just been thinking about GTA V and about all the new information regarding the new shooting mechanics and cover system And I must admit its kind of worried me, I don't know if I'm the only one who thought so but for a game focused so much on shooting and on foot mechanics, Max Payne 3's movement and on foot mechanics where absolutely HORRIBLE, for me they seemed really slow and unresponsive and just lacking so much when compared to RDR and GTA IV and when trying to play Deathmatch the controls on Max Payne just seemed overly cluttered and just plain horrible. I just hope that the movement hasn't transferred from Max Payne to GTA V because honestly it will completely ruin it, if I'm being completely honest a slight improvement on IV's movement and it will be perfect. Above
I don't think you'll see the characters move like they did in Max Payne 3. Max Payne 3 probably favors bullet time jumping, thus regular movement becomes little bit scripted to look at. It's kind of a novelty for the Max Payne series. guden
I liked shooting in MP3 much more than in GTAIV. It was really smooth imo. GTAV shouldn't concentrate on shooting that much, but it would be nice to see improvements over GTAIV.
TheMisanthrope
The cover system and shooting mechanics worked great in MP3 and online was pretty good in my opinion however I do agree that the max running speed was a bit too slow. But I honestly wouldn't be too disapointed if they used the shooting mechanics and cover system as MP3 in fact since they confirmed hip firing I'm asuming it is like MP3. I also do agree that RDR's cover system worked better it was more responsive so shooting mechanics of MP3 and cover system of RDR it would be just about f*cking perfect. jamieleng
Just started playing it again, I hope it's virtually identical to MP3. Obviously running will be much faster due to it being an open world game, but everything else is much better than shooting in IV. Although something between RDR & MP3 would be preferable. .JimmyHopkins.
The shooting and movement in MP3 were really good imo,if its like that i wouldn't mind
fastetshot
In Max Payne was the best in shooting, jumping etc. It just felt so realistic and responsive.
jamieleng
The shooting and movement in MP3 were really good imo,if its like that i wouldn't mind I'd be very surprised if they didn't get that animator to work on V. That was the guy they poached from the developer of 'Eight Days' that was cancelled.
aaronimpact
RDR's running, rolling > GTA IV's
DeafMetal
Hope it's more like RDR than MP3. MP3 was designed as a linear third-person shooter, so the shooting is a little sluggish and... well, stupidly precise. It's awesome for MP3, but it would suck for an open world game. gzam1312
Movement just needs to be faster, like in the PS2 generation of GTA - the Euphoria tech of GTA 4, RDR, and MP3 needs to lose some animations to make it much more quick and precise.
