frenzyvanrafi
I got the performance problem on GTA IV, few month ago GTA IV ran smoothly but later stuttering happen. I had to set up the graphics to medium setting but still stuttering and even low setting still low FPS. I have Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti and C2D E4500, it's not overheated (overheating cause throttling). What is the problem? Bottlenecked? I want to troubleshoot the problem by OC, but I don't have sufficient component (such mobo and cooler) to OC so I have to buy new one. I will replacing crappy Asus P5KPL-AM SE to Abit IX48 (or other P45 mobo) with cheap price and new condition for temporary until I get Haswell! Is OC was a good idea to solve performance lag for temporary?

jpm1
as far as i know comandline thing is something that "forces" the settings . you may think your rig is more powerful than it is really . so personnally i recommand not to use this for performance . when you download a car mod you should check if the carcol is correctly set . if you have a three colors car installed in 4 colors section , that can be fps eater . if you are clearly above the game requirements try without the car you installed . don't know what is complete cheat thing but be sure not to have too much scripts running at the same time if you want good fps cheers
unc13bud
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5KPL_SE/#specifications you need quad core CPU or settings like this: textures low (i don't care that your video card and operating system have conspired to fool gta IV auto configure to set the texture to high - socket 775 dual core Intel CPU has to be low for resolutions above 1024x768) reflections off water low shadows low or off distance slider 5 or 6 vehicles 0 patch #4 Edited May 7, 2013 by unc13bud

I had moving some games to another partition to freeing hard drive space. But, after I using virtual memory the performance increased slowly. Stuttering slightly reduced.
