I wil be called a Rockstar worshipper but its one of those times when Rockstar just does something perfectly. Like the cover and gunplay in MP3, it's perfect, it's so far from sitting behind a wall like in Gears of War (which I like as well). It's intense? And RDR, the weapon wheel just worked? I just have trust in Rockstar I guess? I trust three protagonist gameplay will be executed perfectly, and the weapon wheel as well. Redemptions music is beautiful and really sets the mood. It works really well and it's one of the things that I love about the game. So excited they are doing it with GTA V. No, if it's anything like Redemption, there will be a music volume slider in the options menu. It's not an on/off switch, but you can slide it all the way down until it's muted. Most likely there will be separate music volumes: one for the radio, and one for the ingame ambient/tension/action score. I also recall a statement a while back ago that said that there will be an option to decide whether the score or the radio takes priority during missions in which you're in a car (like action music playing during a car chase), in one case the radio will be silent while the action score plays, and in the other the score will not play at all as long as you are in a vehicle and the radio is on. So don't worry, R* is already thinking about options to provide the players if they don't want the music intruding on their gameplay. I think I'll enjoy it, though. The ambient music better be an option, I don't want to listen to some 'majestic' crap while exploring. Just give me stations like usual. Cops already had snipers in IV. The problem is the weapon wheel is a more complex system than what we currently have and as Red Dead Redemption proved it can be the source of many game breaking bugs, bugs for example that let you be invincible in multiplayer free mode. The were in Algonquin on the roofs of the university and on the roofs of the buildings near the Empire State building. I also heard in one of the magazine reviews last week that they saw police officers catch fire when stepping out of burning cars. That's not new as that also happened in GTA IV. What are you talking about? GTA IV Didn't have snipers. Wtf? I never saw them in IV! I had not noticed them either until last year when I replayed BOGT. I can see the special hand to hand combat moves as this may occur IRL with some training, but slowing down the game, are you serious! Imagine listening to this at night time in the middle of the forest. Didn't GTA IV have a concept for letting Niko have an MP3 player? I hope they implement that so you can listen to music outside of vehicles.
