Truth-Seeker76 Posted May 7, 2013 Share Posted May 7, 2013 Tbogt played with the idea of ammo variants with the auto/explosive shotgun, do you think R* should expand on this idea in Gta5 or in later games? Example:Shotgun •buckshot- default shotgun round 7-9 pellet spread devastating up close, low-medium range. •flechette- Tighter spread compared to buckshot but less damage. Limited penetration ability, more effective against vehicles, can damage health through body armor, increased cover destruction, projectiles can pierce multiple targets. •dragon's breath(incendiary)- several pellets which can ignite targets upon impact. low base damage but does good fire damage over time. •explosive- should always 1-shot kill unarmored npc's but otherwise unchanged. Other weapons would get more generic types like: • hollow-point- 15-25% bonus damage to health, 15-25% damage penalty to armor/vehicles no cover penetration and low damage to cover. • overpressure/magnum- increased damage, range, and muzzle velocity. Increased reticle bloom, increased recoil. • armor-piercing- 10-15% damage penalty. ignores 75-100% body armor 15-25% damage boost against vehicles, can pierce multiple npc's, can reliably penetrate/destroy certain types of cover. All in all I think this would open up many more tactical options for the player and encourage you to experiment in order to find what suits your situation or playstyle.
