Kifflom112
Do you think the countryside will truly feel detached from the city and have it's own vibe. You know that wonderful feeling you got from San Andreas where when you travaled it actually felt like you were going somewhere. Or if you just stood in the countryside, that feeling was so detached, so awesome. I wany V to look beautiful, but it also has to have that distinct feeling of the countryside. I also want more than just poor as dirt towns and scarse trees. I want dense forest, cozy looking towns. Do you think San Andreas Countryside HD will feel as special and distinct as the old countryside?
EvilFuture
I honestly think it will be better than San Andreas. San Andreas had some great moments in the countryside, scared the sh*t out of me at night knowing all the freaky myths and stuff. Looking at the screenshots we have of the countryside, it seems I could EASILY get lost in the awesomeness. Look at this! Edit: Large image. Here's a better one. Definitely looks like it's miles away from civilization!

Ex Hellraiser
Just hearing Waylon Jennings playing in Trevor's trailer, along with the cruising in that Bohdi, and the huge Tractor behind him, made me feel like driving slow through the countryside won't be a boring "Are we there yet?" road trip. At least, not for the first few years of playing...

Kifflom112
Yeah that screen gets me real hyped, @gtafreak10. Oh I cannot wait to explore the rocky countryside, the roads Hopefully we'll get some awesome country, rock, and old tunes to enhance the feel rather than most of that unfitting new music. Yeah, all the countryside screenshots gets me hyped. It's going to be the first area I explore after the first mission. This screenshot is really nice too, has a RDR feel to it for some reason. Ben73
I hope the map makes it feel like its isolated and far from the city. In SA the only time I felt isolated was just east of Angel Pine.
wwinterj
Honestly yes. Come to think of it I believe GTA V will surpass San Andreas on that front due to graphics been better these days and animals been present. The same can be said for the desert, city and so on. In the preview they also say different types of people and animals will populate different places on the map like San Andreas so this will help a lot. GourangaMaster
I think the feeling of isoaltion and truely being far from the city will be guaranteed in the countryside. I was playing red dead redemption and stood at the highest point on Tall tress mountain and could not even see to mexico it was that vast. Now imagine that tripled. It is a mind boggling amount of land to cover.
gzam1312
Will be just like RDR with better graphics, sound, more things to do. like hunt buffalo with sidewinder missiles, etc.

Heath_89
I have 100% confidence in Rockstar when it comes to this. Just take a look at RDR, when you travel up into the mountains (where it snows) it gives you that feeling that you're away from the town, they nailed that with RDR so no doubt they will have it for V. I am looking forward to exploring these remote locations of the game.

U know, the german mag which saw the demo too, asked the R* staff who showed them the demo if they would be able to fish too. He looked at them and just smiled. So probably we will see fishing as mini game too

RDR should easily offer 4 months of enjoyment to pass the time as you wait for V. You'll be able to get it really cheap as well.

Banks.
Yes I do. I believe Rockstar have been focusing on the countryside and how they are going to make it feel like it's miles away from the city and give it that San Andreas vibe. After all, the countryside is what made San Andreas the game it is today and I think Rockstar know that hence why the countryside is so important in V. One of the best gaming related choices of my life, bar none. That said, I have high hopes for the countryside this time, while I loved San Andreas' it allways felt lacking, now with random encounters, the occasional group of people enjoying some recreational activites in some areas, as well as Animals, and such should make the place feel less like filler and more like a living breathing place with it's own pace compaired to that of Los Santos. Can't wait to go out into the desert and just let loose on those open roads in the fastest cars in the game, or go off roading though the woods, or just go on a hike, and enjoy GTAV's offical pass time, RPG hunting, it's exactly like it sounds, and is compairable to the famous Far Cry 3 RPG hunting.
