There are so many memory limitations with this generation, and they've done an AMAZING job. Infact the blurry distant textures look nothing like GTA IV style blurriness.. it's a different ballpark. The distant textures actually now look like nice out-of-focus camera shots. Nothing to worry or complain about here whatsoever. I for one liked the soft focus of the background too and even though it is probably to help perfomance due to the increased draw distance i think it adds a nice cinematic effect like you said. People need to get to grips with the that fact that with current gen R* can only do much considering they are making such a pefomance demanding game on such a large scale. The graphcis look great despite that and it will be an incredibly fun game, stop being so nit-picky. Exactly, didn't bother me in RDR & it won't bother me in this game. I often post in other people's threads without responding to the Original Post & found yours quite humorous. Yes, people can focus on each individual element in a trailer or screenshot, but you really only 'get' GTA when you are experiencing it for yourself. Even if you do just take screenshots out of context, you have to appreciate the amount of detail that's in them & why we still discover things in them months later. These frames are different, one is more static, another one was captured when picture moved more dynamically. Doubt that graphics in V will be so unequal. On consoles, it looks WAY different than the original trailers and gameplay concept demos. It is still an amazing game that pushes the current consoles' capabilities, and I didn't pay those graphical differences a single bit of attention outside of looking at a few comparative screenshots. GTA has proved throughout the generations of video games that a quality game can be better than any modern game with great graphics. And to be honest, better graphics don't always mean better looking. Most modern games with good graphics look ugly, horrible and have no color that isn't grey. Errr yes it does. You'll be able to play GTAV on the PS4 through it's stream service. That's not backwards compatibility. You can't play a PS3 disc on a PS4, you have to buy it online. Turned out to be the most successful reinvention of a franchise since GTA III. It actually impressed me more than IV. Max Payne 3 didn't live up to their predicted sales targets (well the early sales anyway), so swings & roundabouts. All I know is, when I'm playing the game, the last thing I'll be thinking about is aliasing, pop-in, mip or bit mapping, optical occlusion or muddy texturing on unimportant things. The better looking version could be the latest build and it would make more sense than thinking otherwise IMO.. Or am I missing something?
