Versous
I don't know who of you guys owned Burnout Paradise, but this open world game had an additional Island as DLC. This makes me wonder if the guys @ Rockstar may do something similar. I mean if one of the Most anticipated titles in the history of gaming gets a DLC, it's probably going to be something everyone would want. Or it's going to belong to that "surprises" that Rockstar won't share and that will be included in the Game itself. krammkracker
Thats a good question. Last time the DLC was just new story/characters in the same local, but now that we have 3 protaganists do we really need more story/characters for DLC? Just so long as they continue to do things in a big scale and don't start micro-transactions I will be very happy with whatever R* gets us. 5000 Staples
Didn't they say they weren't going to do big DLC like they did with GTA4? - but more smaller interesting things ?
Beee
the thing is that if R* did that, their island had to be hell'of'alot more interactice than bp.. wich makes it not as easy as it was for bp..

kadava
My guess is that they most defenetly like the extra cash, but do things like smaller content for 1 of 2 dollars for online customization, If they do new protagonists, let one be a woman please, would be fun. And my sister keeps on complaining about this.
krammkracker
They already said they wont be doing big DLC's anymore like TLAD and BOGT only small ones. So micro-transactions and $15 for a half assed mission ala Saint's Row, Infamous etc.? EFLC set the standard for GTA DLC,The fact they are not going to do his again says one of 3 things: 1.) GTA5 has such a great story, setting and characters that the DLC is not needed. 2,) They lied and will come out with EFSA down the road. 3.) They are more interested in snagging a few extra bucks off DLC then doing something worthwhile and groundbreaking (Like EFLC) Lets hope if they do come out with some DLC it will be as game-evolving and exciting as EFLC. guden
http://www.shacknews.com/article/71158/roc...c-in-the-future I hope they won't screw up with that like they did with Max Payne 3. Versous
I dont like the whole DLC idea. It kills games. Me neither, but I view it as possibility. People usually don't think about Big additions when they think about DLC. But the BP example prooves that it can include additional size of a game. Nowadays whenever a company says "DLC" it automatically refers to MP for some reason. It's sad really. They should have had a SP DLC regarding Raul and his backstory

GTA V should do better in this case, but I'd like to see singleplayer add-ons too.

If you have a quote/source of that, post it. As posted above http://www.shacknews.com/article/71158/roc...c-in-the-future But the thing is though, they said this almost TWO years ago. Before Max Payne 3's DLCs. MP3's DLCs, I don't think they were successful. The majority of it were just maps that were from the singleplayer campaign. I hope R*'s learned their lesson with this, and begin to create as ambitious post-release content as GTA V will be. Here's a recent article about GTA V and its potential DLC: http://www.vg247.com/2012/11/01/grand-thef...at-by-take-two/ “I think you can safely assume that Rockstar, as the label that led the charge in downloadable content with Grand Theft Auto 4, I think you’d have every reason to believe, purely because of the ground-breaking nature of the title itself and the multiplayer in the title, that there’s going to be a lot of interesting stuff. But I’ll leave that to Rockstar to announce,” said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. Make of that article with what you may.

GTAKid667
I dont like the whole DLC idea. It kills games. Thank God! Someone actually agrees with me! I hate the DLC idea. WorldWideFM
I don't think we'll be seeing DLC of the same kind of size that we got in IV this time around. Why? Well, because those packs were pretty much full on games being sold at bottom prices and I doubt that is seen by TTWO as a particularly efficient use of resources. We're all GTA fans so we've likely all played the Episodes, but what about the people I know in the real world? I must know about 50 people who bought IV day one, but about three of them ever played the Episodes, most of them have never even heard of them. For all the hard work that was put into them, they didn't sell as well as they could have if given the proper marketing. But even when given fairly decent marketing, it seems that the MP3 DLC did not do all that well, so I think if we do see DLC this time it won't be anything that a particularly great deal of effort has gone into, it'll be a few half arsed multiplayer packs I fear. I get the feeling though that Rockstar are trying to put everything that would have come with DLC into the main game, that can only be a good thing. SnowWolve
That would be cool,i was thinking that for GTA IV. I wish they added Vice City to GTA IV as a DLC.I hope GTA V does, cuz it would add a whole another section to the story
