As long as you only have to fill them up maybe once or twice a day then gas in cars is not a problem at all to me. I mean I rarely stay in the same car long so I'll probably never be in a car that runs out of gas unless its a personal in which I wouldnt mind getting gas as long as the animation wasnt too long. In GTA 5 you will be able to leave a stream of gas on the ground and light. Who wouldnt like to shoot gas tanks and light the trail or shoot the gas tanks in car chases to aid in stopping them like shooting the tires? The only time it would be useful is if it were your car and you drove around alot not really doing very much. I think the best use for petrol stations is for robbing them and making molotov cocktails. Well with vehicle customization people will be keeping the same vehicle for a lot longer Whilst I wouldnt mind it one thing they could do is let you use fuel stations but make it so that you dont need too... This is not a simulator, it's a game where rich dudes use bullet time to kill 9 dudes in a row before letting his black friend use his slo-mo driving abilities to quickly escape the cops. Is it fun? Is getting gas fun for you? Is that it? I mean, there are other games that let you do that, you should probably find those. I hear the latest nascar game has some fantastic refueling animations. Getting gas is not pleasurable, is not fun, is not satisfying, and is not enjoyable. It's a chore. A pointless chore. Why do you think in real life we're moving towards electric and solar powered cars and cars with tons of mileage? It's because no one on earth enjoys getting gas. Not americans, not germans, not the chinese, not the turkish. Try to find me at least ONE person that enjoys getting gas in real life. Just one. What if you have the best police chase ever and you run out of gas, that will f*ck over the best chase ever. What if you were stranded in the desert because of gas. Like when u drive with your customized car for 1 hour across the map, you should have to refuel at some point totally agree with that! and mark my words fueling up cars WILL be in V. think about it: with all that 'vibrant economy' 'most ambitous' detailed sprawling city ads we hear it would be a suprise if we dont see peds fueling up their cars... and if they do it, we mos def can 2 dont u think? also now we can carry jerrycans and spill gas and light it up, so if we can fill em up at gas stations and interact with gas stations in this way im pretty sure we can fuel our cars there too. another thing is: after reading and hearing the new reviews it seems to me R* cared a lot about these little emerging details like parking a getaway vehice where u want it before the actual mission and in prep 4 a heist beeing able to choose what disguise u want to use for ur team even choosing who wears which uniqe mask... i dont know why so many people hate on fuel with such silly arguments like -its a waste of time and not fun well beeing forced to find a gun-store then repeatedly hittin a button to buy max ammo isnt fun either so u want unlimited ammo now? -it would suck if ur in the middle of nowhere and run out of gas? would it? in this scenario i see potential for exciting plots like surviving encounters with wild animals or random quest encounters on the way back to civilisation or cuz its a vehicle u like u get to the next gas station fill a canister and find the way back or imagine u need to do that as franklin in ballas territory... there are tons of exciting and fun things that could happen in the circumstances of needing to refuel and it would add a lot of immersion to the game. so i would LOVE to see that in V and i mos def will! - im hyped as f*** 4 this game! Well, I don't have to buy guns. There are plenty of melee weapons. And maxing out is not required to use the gun whenever you want. Cars would use gas whether or not you're going. Ammo is enough. I don't need gas bothering me too. Not everyone likes being stranded in the middle of nowhere, you know. So I don't think forcing it on everyone would be a good idea. But I'd never ever want them to actually implement this in game because it's just not worth the bother. It'd be too much like CJ's hunger stat, it's really not necessary to have and I'd rather spend my in game money on something more fun and worthwhile. Some argue fuel would promote keeping a car longer, but people like me would only treat them as disposable even more. Never thought of using gas that way. It would make road trip roleplaying more realistic. Maybe gas should just be an option like eating was in IV?
