Alice: Otherlands/Alice 3

As we at VGU have mentioned before, American McGee has been trying to get Alice 3 (or Alice: Otherlands) off the ground fairly recently. Fans of the series were very supportive in this action and their combined enthusiasm and interest may have just paid off!

A Facebook Page simply entitled "Alice: Otherlands" has appeared on Facebook with a simple question posed on it:

"So, to the 6 of you following so far, what say you to a Kickstarter in say... July of this year to fund the third Alice game? Thoughts?"

Needless to say, the fans reactions have so far been nothing but positive but the page itself is very lacking in actual detail. With the increasing amount of fake accounts being made in game compaines names VGU reached out to Spicy Horse to see what was going on!

[uPDATED] The page, as we were told, belongs to American McGee and is not a fake account.

If you are an Alice fan then get over to the Facebook and give it a "LIKE" and make sure you keep you eye on it, hopefully great things soon!

 

 

Spicy Horse Games is in the process of making their Kickstarter video for "Alice: Otherlands" and according to American McGees Facebook and Alice: Otherlands page, he is looking for a cosplayer to be selected to appear as Alice in the video! Are you interested? Here are the rules and regs:

 

INSTRUCTIONS

* Send ONLY ONE image of yourself dressed as Alice - preferably in her "classic" blue and white dress.

* Image should capture your entire costume from black hair to boot heels.

* Image should be no larger than 2MB. Save in JPG, GIF or PNG format.

* Send via email to: contact (at) spicyhorse (dot) com

* Include name, age, country of origin, contact info and brief intro of yourself.

* All submissions due by 5/20/2013

REQUIREMENTS

* Must be able to travel to Shanghai, China during June 2013 for the video shoot (have a passport, be of legal age to travel, etc).

* Must be English speaking (able to read lines for the video).

Please DO NOT do these things:

* Do not send other requests, applications for other work (art, sound, video, etc) or anything unrelated to this contest! If you aren't an actual Alice cos-player submitting for this contest, then limit your interaction with it to the comments on this post!

* Don't post your submission images to my Facebook page or send them to me via Facebook messaging.

* Don't send suggestions for people you think should win or be in the contest.

Failure to abide by these guidelines will result in disqualification.

American also stressed that this contest DOES NOT mean the "Otherlands" project will definitely happen as they are still in talks, but they must be confident to start getting ready for a kickstarter! To keep up with Alice: Otherlands updates make sure you follow its twitter and LIKE the Facebook Page!
