HudS
Well in sweden the average price for new xbox/ps3 games is about 90-100$ so i can't say im getting it cheap.
ViciousLuke
I actually never pay so much for FIFA or Far Cry 3 or any other game. I never buy directly from Steam or Origin. You can find better re-sellers and get game for 20euros instead of 60euros and activate it on Steam/Origin.

I Luke
They'd make less money making it £500 than £40. And lets be honest, no ones going to pay.
DeafMetal
We're dealing between people who love their jobs and have funding to go all-out (Rockstar) vs people who love their jobs and don't have funding to go all-out (the majority of developers) vs people who just want to make money (Activision, EA). I mean, GTA is guaranteed to sell like hotcakes, whether it's a masterpiece or a pile of sh*t, so Rockstar has a LOOOTTT of funding compared to other devs because they and the publisher knows that they will make the money back and then some in a matter of days. Certinty
I'm not willing to pay over £40 for ANY game, but I see where you're coming from. If I ever was to pay over that for a game though, GTA V would be the only one.

RedDagger
Probably the last game I bought for full price was halo reach, and that was worth it. None of the later games I own have really seemed to be worth a full £40 price tag - I tend to buy the second-hand for £30 at most, less than £20 if possible. GTA V, on the other hand, will be worth the £40 for me.

PhilGTA1
Yeah, FIFA, COD and other games should cost around $20, and GTA V $60, GTA has much more content. Bless you Rockstar.

However you did have to spend over £40 to qualify for £10 off (so you had to buy something else as V was £39.99 (crafty buggers). So in essence, I just got a free game for buying V for full price, but I did manage to get a game I wanted. I think Rockstar would sell just as many copies if the rrp was £45-£50 & they'd be justified in doing so. Unlike Activision's decrepit cash cow COD. I'd be disappointed in them if they did, but not if they charged that to bring it to next gen within a year & a half.

And yeah, it's pretty disappointing to see COD ruin the gaming industry. Rockstar either way are going to be billionaires in the first sixth months really. wwinterj
No game in my opinion is worth more then $60 (£40). If anything games that come out every year are overpriced although I admit I buy Assassins Creed. With GTA games, Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim and any RPG type of game you get your moneys worth. I don't feel bad at all paying £40 for GTA V as I think R* earn it. I do feel a tad stupid paying £40 for games that come out every year though but I not a very patient man. Hvitdverg
I'd pay 60 dollars for GTA and COD. Call Of Duty gives me 100's of hours of gametime. GTA will give me even more. GTA > COD though
